Beer was ice cold. Guac, on point. And the carnitas platter was ample and delicious. I will be back...again and again.

It was ok. I do have to say that the Coco Margherita was very good when they added another splash of coconut.

Expensive, but pleasant. The restaurant is dimly-lit, but in an aesthetically pleasing way that is a balm to light-sensitive eyes. The menu has a nice variety, so unless you're super picky you should find something that piques your interest.
The average single-person meal + a drink will likely be around the mid-20s unless you get your pickings from the kids' menu (where a meal will be a little over 10 dollars with drink).
Recommended to pay with cash, as a 4% discount is given if you do.
I ordered the American-style street tacos (the Mexican-style has cilantro, and I unfortunately have the soap gene) with carne asada as the meat. It's three soft tacos, but you wouldn't know that from my image because I ate #3 before realizing that I should probably attach an image. Sorry. It's good. The cheese gives a nice pop of saltiness that I really appreciate. I don't know, I'm not a professional food reviewer. I'm just some random whitey eating tacos to fill the void. They also give you complimentary tortilla chips + salsa. Don't try to eat them in bed like I did; the chips will get angry at you.
The girl at front was nice. Expect a mild wait to receive service, as the place isn't super staffed, so the cashier will likely slip into the kitchens when left idle to help out there.
I remember when this place was more homely and whimsical. I sat across from my mom in a booth and we demolished the complimentary tortilla chips and salsa. I don't know what I got, but it was good and I was happy. I saw evidence that my mother had been a person before she'd had children. She should never have become a mom, or perhaps even a wife.
Overall: good food, pleasant atmosphere. This place would be nice for a date, probably.

I went to lunch with my best friend today. It was a Saturday afternoon, around 1:30. We went to Casa Leon because it's our favorite local place. The service was fabulous as usual! If you are in the area of Mayport road, you should stop in for lunch or dinner. There is always something delicious being served. Make sure to try their fresh made refried beans! You will not be disappointed! It doesn't matter what you order it's going to be delicious!

I ordered a to-go Mexican style taco and while the portion size was good, the main problem was the beef. The ground beef was dry and cold, tasting like it had been cooked long before and left sitting aside rather than freshly prepared, which really took away from the overall quality of the meal.

I felt so bad! Google hours are so wrong. We are from another side of town ao we strolled in around 8:30ish maybe 8:45 Saturday thinking they closed at 12AM. Before we realized they were picking up the chairs. I felt bad and asked what time they closed, they said 9pm. We felt awful. Food was alright. It was clean and service was friendly. It seemed like a quaint little spot.

I had a taste for Mexican food and live near this spot. I'm sorry to say, I'll never go back again. 6 tacos and one quesadilla for $50. Yes, that was my choice, but the food was mediocre, med at best. Now, I know why the lot is always empty, except on Tuesdays. Next time I'll find a Mexican food truck, they tend to have better food and service anyway.
