Ok so how do I say this without sounding like a jerk. I ordered online and was expecting a great experience. I got the opposite. The food was okay but the service was horrible. The kitchen staff seemed to wanna help but the hostess was horrible. She was very unprofessional and didnt seem to care that people were waiting for their food due to her mixing up orders slow pace. That made the experience the worst I've had at a restaurant. I had high hopes and was all in for supporting the restaurant. Unfortunately I won't go back because of her. This is very sad because I know thats not what the restaurant represents. I know this restaurant has been around for a while but it won't survive with a hostess like that. I cant recommend going there and won't be back.

First of all!! Let's talk about the customer service, it exists in a major way, I felt valued as a customer as soon as I walked in the door, greeted with a friendly voice and a smile. Disappointed that oxtails are only served on Sundays, however they had a meatloaf special so I decided that my 30 mile journey would not be in vain. I added a cobbler and collard greens to the order, which comes with a piece of cornbread, also I threw in a bowl of homemade peach cobbler. (No pork in any of the sides) This food was delicious, I forgot I was supposed to be 'tasting' and started straight up grubbing down!! Im coming back again for the oxtails. I have on good authority that the owner is on site in the kitchen out of sight doing her thing...aaand She is the original chef for a local chain by a different name, she left and started this place but her recipes are still present in the kitchen of her competition, not sure i can even call them competition at this point.

I was not feeling well and it was difficult for me to get out of the car. I called and Paula brought my food out to me. I was very pleased. My family and I eat there a lot.

I had the privilege to speak to Celestia herself, and she is a beautiful hearted woman that loves to make people happy. I had filled a form for a last minute crab boil. I didnt hear anything so I called. I had no idea it was Celestia at the time. She was able to make the crab boil for 14 people the next day. My cousin and I picked up the food right before the crab boil. We were about q0 minutes late, but they were waiting for us!! The food was delicious! So much that my husband and I almost didnt get any! People at more than they were supposed to! Lol Even though we had side dishes! Many guests asked where we got it and they want to eat at the restaurant! So, their great food got them new customers coming! And we will be coming there soon for more great food there! And I will be having more planned crab boils!! Can't wait! And the price was great!

Unfortunately, the food was absolutely horrible and I was extremely disappointed, especially with it being my first time eating there. I got a seafood macaroni that was so gross and fishy that I couldn't even eat it. It definitely tasted off and it did not taste like any seafood macaroni I had ever had before. Also what really frustrated me is, I in conversation told the lady at the cash register that I was pescatarian and I only ate seafood. But when I proceeded to order a side of butter beans not one time did she tell me that it had ham pieces in it and unfortunately that is the one mistake I made being in a hurry I did not check the bag before I left. But with it being a new place and supposedly having won all these Awards, I thought I could give them the benefit of doubt of serving me a decent meal. That's my fault for thinking that. And that's an entire meal that was just completely wasted and I'm out $17 for. I mean it was bad enough that the butter beans cost $4 for literally the smallest 4 bites portion ever, on top of the fact that I couldn't eat any of my meal. I definitely will never be going back to this place.🫤👎🏾
