Super delicious food! Wow. I was not expecting this gem to be so good!! Affordable and good portion! I got the garlic chicken lunch special. It came with great veggies! The food was ready in time just like they told me. Food was still hot by the time I got home!

We were in Jacksonville, FL for the weekend and in the mood for some decent Chinese food, especially since the Chinese restaurants back home aren’t that great. We did a Google search for Chinese restaurants near the hotel we were staying at and came across China Dragon. It was close by and had good reviews so we decided to take a chance with it. We arrived and found that although it’s 2026, the restaurant was operating like it was still 2021 during COVID. You could not enter the restaurant. You placed and paid for your order at the door. This wasn’t a big deal for us since we had kind of decided on getting takeout anyway. We placed our order and waited in the car. About 15 minutes later, an employee waved at us to let us know our food was ready. We collected it and started back to our hotel. During the drive, the smell coming from the bag had us considering pulling over and just eat on the side of the road, but we resisted the temptation and made it back to our hotel room before our hunger got the best of us. We ordered a small house special fried rice without veggies, chicken noodle soup, the house special lo mein and a couple of egg rolls. Our order came to a little over $30. Upon arriving back at the hotel, we discovered that the soup we ordered was a quart sized. We ended up just eating the soup and about half the lo mein and the egg rolls that night. Needless to say, the serving sizes were plenty big enough for us. We ended up saving the fried rice and remaining lo mein for lunch the next day, so feel we got our money’s worth and it definitely addressed our craving for Chinese food. So, if you’re in the Baymeadows area of Jacksonville and in the mood for some Chinese takeout, give China Dragon a try. Don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Note: the only reason we gave 3-stars for atmosphere is because we couldn’t enter the restaurant.

This place is delicious! I’ve had trouble finding a good Chinese takeout that has the traditional fried rice. They also have Perfect honey chicken That is already tossed in the sauce. It’s such a good balance of crispy, sweet and savory. Keep in mind this is a takeout only spot, but I found the owners to be so kind and efficient. Thanks for a great meal!
