A must go when visiting Jacksonville. It's a dining experience of great flavors, good menu selections and cozy ambiance. Must make a reservation, has parking available and not too noisy.
Oysters, crab salad, bruchettas and an option of lobster, shrimp in a serving for two or four.
What an exquisite fine dining this was. I loved the atmosphere and the service was phenomenal. Highly recommend the New Zealand rack of lamb. The appetizer was decent, I was expecting a bit of more savory on the three appetizers I’ve ordered. Ordered the peach cobbler and the blue berry raspberry cheesecake, my partner enjoyed it.
Amazing happy hour! We sat in the bar area for happy hour and enjoyed many of the small plates with drinks. Everything was top notch. The entire staff was very friendly and our waiter Rick was fantastic. Such a beautiful building / atmosphere too. We will definitely be back!
Do yourself a favor: Check out the bar during happy hour! Good prices on drinks, but the real secret is the happy hour appetizers. I cannot say enough good things about them. They all are amazing and won't cost you a ton. If you're lucky enough to be there when Maddie or Shimaya are there, you'll definitely find yourself going back many times! They absolutely rock!
Thank You, Pasha!
We just wanted to take a moment to thank our amazing server, Pasha. Every time we come to City Grille, he goes above and beyond to make our experience memorable. His warm personality, attention to detail, and outstanding service are truly unmatched. Honestly, he’s the reason we keep coming back. Thank you, Pasha—you’re the best!

Every item we ordered was excellent. The chowder was perfect. Shrimp n grits as good as I have ever had.
Had dinner here for my birthday with a party of six, and everything was fantastic from start to finish. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. Corey was our server and did a phenomenal job—attentive, friendly, and made great recommendations. I had the “Nola” Oysters to start and the Cape Cod Diver Scallops for my entrée—both were absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. The whole table enjoyed their meals, and the ambiance was perfect for a celebratory evening. Highly recommend!
Delicious food and generous portions! I started with the Cesar salad then the braised beef. Nice service. Parking was a little limited. They have a parking area on the other side of the bank. I ended up parking on the grass. Thankfully it was after 6:30 pm and already evening.
I was really excited to eat here, but the food and the service were subpar. We absolutely loved the oysters and the chocolate cake, but the appetizer and entrees were underwhelming at best. One of the specials that we ordered was a bison steak for $75 but it wasn’t properly seasoned and definitely wasn’t worth that price point. The tuna special was okay, but the pineapple risotto that it was paired was just odd. The server saw me take a sip of my friend’s wine off the table and ran to tell the manager who came over and immediately reprimanded me. I thought this was super off-putting and a bit aggressive since I am in my 30s and don’t usually even get carded at restaurants. Just a bad experience overall.
We had a very enjoyable evening here. The staff were friendly and service good. We shared a crab cake, tuna tartar the lamb chops which were cooked perfectly. Dessert was blueberry bread pudding and that was delicious.

Food was good. No vegetarian options at all.
We had a truly remarkable dining experience. Three appetizers, my salmon tartare was a magical taste of salmon, caviar, crème fresh, dill and capers. Three unique and wonderful entrees: sumptuous lamb, exotic Iberian pork with Catalan flavors and a unique bison with pablamo tomatillo butter. A perfect red wine blend pairing and wonderful service by Faith. You must dine here.
Had a great experience (food and service). We liked it so much we returned two nights later with a larger group. Kevin, our server both nights, was fantastic.
Ok so we all know that the meat and fish are excellent. One personin our party had the lamb chops, another the lamb “baklava” and another the fish special. All were incredible. I am a vegetarian and my experience was one that I can’t get at ANY other steak and seafood restaurant. I started with the burrata appetizer. A nice piece of burrata surrounded by greens and deliciously marinated vegetables and 2 perfectly toasted slices of French bread. For an entree I had the vegetable tempura with a side of charred broccolini. All cooked to perfection. Also on the menu which my dad had was the French onion soup which was delicious and made with vegetable broth. The waiter also said the chef could whip up many other vegetarian options that were not on the menu. Dessert was the bread pudding and the crème brule. They were amazingly fantastic. Service was incredible. Will definite be back.
