This is one of my favorite places to get breakfast, it feels like home and they always go far and beyond to satisfy my needs when it comes to plates that are not in the menu; if they have it they will make it for you. Thank you!

We were at the halloween parade and she touched the cash with the same gloves she handled and grabbed the bread with. (which is fine if she just changes the gloves after dealing with the cash) until she didn’t change them and attended to the next costumer who also bought a loaf… and i was like oh :/

The food is a 10/10 in my book. This place gets crowded on a Saturday morning (rightfully so); so plan around that if it isn’t your thing but definitely stop here.
The food is phenomenal. The coffee (and lavender syrup), the quiche, the stoneground mustard vinaigrette, the danish, the croissant!, the sourdough, the butter, omg. I’m sorry I didn’t take any pictures of my food but there are plenty already to convince you to go (like they did me).
This business also uses a local native nursery to make sure native plants are alive and thriving throughout so it’s a fun thing to do while you wait for your order to be ready (look at the plants!)
I can’t recommend this place more

I’ve been coming here for years! This is by far my most favorite bakery in Jax. Sourdough lovers must visit. They use high quality local ingredients so that even something simple is delicious! I’ve never had something here that I didn’t like. I usually opt for whatever quiche they have that day and it never disappoints. They have a seasonal sweet potato latte that is so tasty. Over the years, they’ve had some great community events too, which I really appreciate. I always enjoy sitting out in the garden! This place is such a treat.

Breakfast here every morning when staying at a nearby Airbnb. They make all their own sourdough breads and have a rotating daily menu.

The sourdough bread, though not sour like San Francisco sourdough, has a pleasant taste. The cardamom roll pairs well with coffee. Sometimes, the quiche is undercooked, which distracts from the traditional flavor combinations. The morning bun with icing arrives once a year. Don't miss it, as it supercedes the blandness of the regular morning bun. The sourdough pancakes tend to be undercooked. But, when properly prepared, the sourness in the pancakes pair well with the sweet tartness of the berries or apples. This is a wonderful bakery with room to grow. I look forward to tasting how the bakers improve in the future.

Went to Community Loaves for the first time today and this place was a rip off for three reasons we experienced in this one visit:

1. The ice lattes are served in what can only be described as a child’s sippy cup. One shot of espresso in a child size cup waS $6 + tax and service charge.

2. This cafe has a sign that says “tips not accepted”, but when you look closer theres an automatic service charge added to the bill. Theres no transparency as to how much this service charge is, and its automatically added to the bill nto knowing how much.

3. Today was baguette day and we bought a baguette to go. When we brought it to the table is was rock hard, like bang on the table hard. We went to the register to switch it and it was the same issue. If this baguette was made today (on baguette day), the recipe is off. We had to force it down with a lot of olive oil and even then our teeth hurt just chewing it. There was no crunch to it like stale, it was just like chewing a hard piece of rubber inside and out. Poor quality control and Im sure this thing was $6 or more.

This will be our first and only visit to this place and I felt others needed some hoenst feedback on the price gouging and quality going on here.

I really like the food at this place. First, you walk in and have to wait in line to order and pay, so I recommend taking the time to read the menu a bit to order faster. Everything they have is delicious. The bread is, without a doubt, the star of the place. They make it there, cut it there, and sell you flour, pre-made bread, and everything else you need. It's really good. The sandwich we had is super soft and tasty; it looks simple but it's very good. The drinks are good too. Overall, it's a nice atmosphere (they have a very nice outdoor patio where you can hang out with your pet) and there's a small area for small children inside. I definitely recommend this place. It's small, cozy, and they sell really good breakfast food.
Something important: The tip is already included with everything you buy.

After years of my wife and friends eating here and only eating their take out, I finally made it in. Why did I wait!?

Community Loaves is everything you want in a locally owned restaurant. The staff is amazing and quick. Prices are fair and service is easy included so no issues with tips. Parking is easy with several places to park your vehicle.

The food here is great. The egg sandwich is tasty. The morning buns are delicious. The avocado toast is not going to hurt your mortgage payment.

The ambiance is great. I sat outside and multiple folks brought their dogs to eat with. Folks are friendly and eating outside is chill.

I mentioned the flies on the pastries being sold and the employee did not seem to care then asked me if I wanted it or not.

The pastries and coffee were to die for! And the breakfast sandwich was wonderful. Also don’t sleep on their bagels. Insanely good!

But I would skip the pancakes. They only make them on the weekend and we were excited that we happen to be there on a Sunday to try them! I was expecting two substantial pancakes since they were priced at $16 for 2 but they came out to be flat like a crepe and very small. The basil syrup was good but they absolutely drowned the pancakes in it and you couldn’t taste the sourdough pancakes. I would suggest getting the syrup on the side. In fact I feel like they should just serve it on the side. There were also candied oranges all over the pancakes which was not stated in the menu description. They definitely over powered the whole dish.

Pretty much come for the great atmosphere and eat all the things except for the pancakes 😉
