I go for daily walks through the neighborhood.
I live in a Senior Apartment across the street from the establishment.
I was on my return home from my morning walk and popped in to get something for lunch.
I ordered the Quiche Dinner to go and a Nettles&Peppermint while I wait.
The Bakery was quite busy, which is great…I was directed to wait in the dining area, which I did…. It took probably 10 ish minutes (closer to maybe 15). A polite young woman brought my order to me, I asked for a bag as I was walking.
I walked home, Settled in from my walk, etc, and sat down to have my Tea and Quiche
The tea is delicious…. The Quiche is burnt, dried hard pastry and looks like a hockey puck! I am so disappointed….
I admire that you have a “Service Fee” instead of tips, however… in this case CUSTOMER SERVICE Failed in Quality Control and providing the Customer with the best quality products ordered!
Not a satisfied customer ☹️
Food is amazing!! Beware of crowds on the weekends and go early if you want to purchase a full loaf!
We love going to community loaves every weekend and ordering the quiche while our kids get pastries. We got there at opening this weekend and the quiche fresh out of the oven was next level. Delicious food and a little spot for kids to play is perfect for our family, so thankful we are close enough to walk to this gem!
Would go back just for breakfast outside in a shady comfortable space. Plenty of pastry choices, good menu items.
Popular with many patrons in the morning. We bought bread and a muffin to go.
Just beautiful! The coffee and pastries are delicious. There’s a lovely little outdoor seating area to enjoy your treats, as well as indoor seating with AC. To top it all off, I got a gorgeous loaf of sourdough to take home. I’ll definitely be back. I’ll be bringing my friends. Thank you, Community Loaves.
Cool spot! Great tasting bread. Recommend the egg and cheese sandwhich. It was delicious!
Not sure what's changed but business is not the same. We waited 50 minutes for two breakfast sandwiches that were not made accurately and were cold by the time they dropped it off. The drip coffee was off as well. Staff was not as friendly as they used to be. Unfortunately, this my 3rd visit like this.

The sourdough seems to be their pride although they have so many food options and good drinks. Espresso machine was down when I went sadly but I still enjoyed. Have to come back for their coffee. They also have a small desk with bunch of toys in case you want to bring your kids. Love the service and that they use locally sourced honey, coffee beans, and other services!

I’ve been going to Community Loaves for 7 years it’s the first awesome place I was introduced to when I first relocated to Jacksonville Fl.. A lady who was visiting her daughter worked at Community Loaves at the time. The lady offered me a loaf of bread, but what sold me to go to Community Loaves was the Everything Croissant that she gave me.
Community Loaves and I have had a love affair since. The latte and all the bread and pastry’s are amazing. I’ve never had anything in 7 years that I haven’t loved. Treat yourself and go get a loaf and a cup of coffee.

Fantastic bakery in Jacksonville with many VEGAN options. Get there early because the secret is out and they will sell out quickly.

1st time there. Enjoyed the food, latte and especially the atmosphere. I see this place when I get honey from bee friends farm next door, but they're usually closed (8am-2pm hours). I went in a weekend and I'm glad I did. Great food. I bought a pastry, took a bite, and went back in line again for more.
Parking: There's about 6 parking spots in front of this and a share business.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a low incline wheelchair ramp going into the bldg. But you can't park directly in front of the bldg, because that's a gravel lot. You'd have to access it from Edgewood ave, not Trask.
