Think this place is highly overrated. Went there after reading comments and tried for myself. Spent almost $30 dollars just on me. First of all you order the food yourself by a screen in the entrance (lack of service) so there is this feeling of fast food taco bell mc Donald's. I order entree guacamole and chips. Those were flooded in salt. Couldn't even eat half of them. Guacamole had lots of lemon on it. Order a burrito and it was just ok. Taste was ok but think everything was overpriced. Place is very plain and simple

We found this place waiting for a table at hawkers. TLDR should have waited. We decided to eat at Corner Taco since who doesn't love tacos and the whimsy of going somewhere you don't know at the last second. It was intoxicating! We were confused about the ordering since there was a touch screen at the door bur menus at the cash register. People saw us but never welcomed us. We had to figure it out for ourselves. We decided to go up to the counter and order. We waited and waited and waited some more. We asked if we could order from the counter, and she said yes, then went back to work. Then we waited and waited and waited. Finally, when we were helped, we ordered the brisket taco, sour cherry tenderloin taco, surf and turf taco, fried chicken taco, and the nachos. When we got the order, most of the items were cold. Nothing was great. The surf and turf taco i had to ask which one of my tacos was surf and turf because the shrimp was so small. They only used one corn tortilla for their tacos. That is a newbie construct that guarantees a messy experience for the customer. Wet toilet paper comes to mind. The fried chicken taco was the favorite, but we all agreed we probably won't be back. Doesn't compare to osprey tacos or casa la reina in st augustine. I wanted to like this place really I did since it helps me on my quest for great tacos everywhere.

We were 1st time diners at this place. Waited at the bar for many minutes but no employee spoke to us at all. (There is a kiosk for self-ordering but also a sign for ordering at the bar.) It was a Monday so maybe their crew was small? After several minutes my son's drink was brought out (not mine - later I asked for it and the server apologized. )A while later our food came out. I don't think one of my tacos was what I ordered but I didn't want to complain and was ok with the ingredients. The flavors were good. The corn tortillas held together (often corn tortillas fall apart). My blackened taco was too salty. Not sure I will return. The food was good and I saw an interesting selection of alcoholic beverages, but customer service needs improvement. Like a lot.P.S. I would have ordered a side of chips and guacamole but it was priced $12!Parking: There is a dirt lot on the side of the building.Dietary restrictions: I did see celiac safe selections on the menu.

My wife and I drove to Riverside for some ice cream and a walk through Memorial Park. Out of the blue, she said she was hungry and suggested tacos. Naturally, as a taco lover, I agreed and off to Corner Taco we went since she'd been wanting to try it for some time. When we entered at 5 p.m. on a Saturday, there were no other diners. What greeted us when we walked in was not a person, but rather an ordering screen with the menu and a credit card reader. There are some restaurants where I can live with an ordering screen (e.g. fast food), but it seems like a cold, impersonal way to greet customers at a local stop. Maybe there are labor issues? Regardless, my wife and I ordered two tacos apiece and then sat down and waited for our orders.A staff member brought out our tacos after a bit, and they were all right, albeit they were kind of cold. I had a brisket taco without cabbage and a chipotle chicken taco served with cabbage. Had the menu listed that the chicken taco had cabbage, I would have ordered without, but alas, that item had no description. Neither one of my tacos were bursting with flavor. My wife ordered a carnitas and a shrimp taco, both also on the cold side, but ok in terms of flavor. The overall vibe was a bit glum due to a lack of customers and the dark interior. Personally, I think ditching the ordering screen, or at least moving it closer to the counter, would be an improvement to allow the staff to better connect with customers. Hopefully Corner Taco can turn it around and recapture the days when they were bursting with positive reviews.

I recently had my birthday at the restaurant and they were so amazing! Everyone was very accommodating and they made it feel like we really weren’t bothering them. The food is always great and I’m happy I chose to have my bday party here.Vegetarian options: You can customize your order and the veggies are freshKid-friendliness: Crayons for kids and you can color on the tablecloths

I would give this place a pass right now until they fix their food quality issues. Food was beyond salty. Steak was basically burnt. Missing food in our order. Any mods were completely ignored, basic things like add tomatoes. Sauces that were supposed to be on things completely left off. Fried chicken was very dry and overcooked. Grilled Mahi was over cooked and hard. The only saving grace were the shrimp tacos were decent. I could see this place being very good but just not right now.

TERRIBLE. TERRIBLE. TERRIBLE. Let me just start by saying I have never left a bad, correction HORRIBLE review under any restaurant! My experience was madness. When I ordered, I told the employee exactly what I wanted. I ordered 2 steak tacos with NO CABAGE, NO SAUCE, NO BELL PEPERS. With only cilantro and and queso on the side. He repeated my order to me and GAVE ME THE TACOS AS WITH EVERYTHING STILL ON THEM. Also not with the queso I requested and paid extra for on the side! When pulled the taco apart in attempt to eat them, there was barely any meat on it. I called the employee to the table and requested a refund he refused me a refund. I am angry, and outraged at this poor customer service!

While visiting the Riverside area, wifey wanted to grab some tacos so after reading a couple of reviews she settled on Corner Taco. All of their tacos are served with shredded cabbage, cilantro & lime on 6” corn or house-cooked flour tortillas. They did not disappoint, the tacos were good. She had the General Tso's Chicken taco and she lucked up and got a Chorizo taco for free (it was a mistake but they let her keep it). We dined in because the ambiance was nice and customer service was on point. We'll be back. Also, you can order ahead for curbside pickup.

Always loved this place, and every time I come through Jax I go here. Great area, amazing food, and just the perfect place on the corner. Tacos are always great, and you can mix and match. Last time got fresh fried oysters and (coming from the northwest) will say incredible. I’ll come back time and time again.

First time. Props to all the crazy menu items. They put some effort into making something new. Not sure if I dig the order at the door tablet thing. Felt very little human interaction and the tablet didn't have photos of the food. Between the two of us we ordered 8 tacos. Was served 9! Thanks for that except it added more confusion as we had trouble telling everything apart. Was this j**** No this ones pork! well that's definitely a shrimp. I dunno, got confused. Food was tasty but some were kind of cold. I'd try it again

I stopped in today on a whim and I was thoroughly impressed. For one thing, I thought the server made a mistake when they told me my total was only $15! I mean I got three tacos and an ipa and even added some of their house made queso fresco to them! The tacos were really really good and substantial as well! The chorizo taco with the queso fresco and they give you fresh cilantro to put on it!!! This is sooo good this little hole in the wall is a gem for sure.Dietary restrictions: Everything gluten free
