Fantastic! Wonderful meal!! Graduation dinner that was everything and more. Highly recommend

We had high hopes for our dinner at Cowford Chophouse, but overall the experience didn't justify the price. The bread service, duck fat cornbread, and pimento mac and cheese were the highlights of our meal. We ordered oysters, Wagyu Spinalis, Wagyu filet, roasted Brussels sprouts, and the mango coconut tart. The Spinalis was the clear standout. However, the Brussels sprouts were overcooked and tasted steamed rather than roasted, and the tart's crust was so tough I had to cut it with a fork like a knife. Service fell short—inconsistent crumb service between courses and no attention to basic details, like offering crackers with raw oysters. Additionally, there was no enforcement of the dress code; guests wore everything from shorts and hoodies to ball caps and tennis shoes, which took away from the upscale atmosphere. While the staff did kindly remove a cocktail I didn't enjoy and brought out a birthday dessert, the overall value and experience didn't meet expectations. We've had better meals—and far better service—for half the price elsewhere.

One of the best steakhouses I've been to. This is a not miss. Steaks were done perfectly and absolutely flavorful.

The food was amazing but the service was even better! One of the best steaks I have ever had. Would love to go back.

Wow. I am amazed by the dining experience my wife and I had here. It was truly one of a kind. This was our first time and it definitely won't be our last. We celebrated my wife's birthday and she really wanted steak. I heard that Cowford Chophouse has the best steaks so, I made a reservation. She had the 12oz fillet and I had the crab cakes. We shared the whipped potatoes and Brussel sprouts. We also had a delicious mocktail which I don't remember the name of but it had blackberry and ginger beer. 11/10!

Second time here, gave it another chance. Food was much better this time around, especially the steak, and the rooftop vibe was outstanding. Unfortunately like last time, the service was disappointing. The app order was incorrect (got corn bread instead kf crab cakes) and one salad didnt have dressing. We waited over 10 minutes for dressing and by that time, dinners were close to coming out. Unfortunately, not going back.

Celebrated our anniversary and all went very well. The food was delicious. My spouse loved the duck fat cornbread and pimento mac & cheese! I loved the chilean sea bass...the butternut squash puree was excellent! We also thought the pineapple upsidedown topped cheesecake was really good as well. Next time, we hope to be able to venture up to the rooftop to take in the view. To all at The Cowford Chophouse, who helped to make our anniversary dinner special (reservations, hosts, servers, etc.,) we appreciate and thank you.

10 out of 10. More if possible. Matt the GM got us in when they didn’t have anything available for the time slot we wanted, phenomenal service, delicious steaks, the most surprising dessert which we were celebrating for my 10 y/o. Would recommend to any and everyone.

We have dined at Cowford before and the food never disappoints! Our experience last night was no exception. From the appetizers to our meals, everything was simply delicious! Our server was Christopher and he was very attentive and made excellent recommendations.

Lights too dimmed to read menu, highly priced menu, my entree $65 with no sides, my side $13, a small glass of margarita $24, the lamb chops were good but tasted like fuel and I experienced a migraine while driving home which I attribute to that taste. The takeout $20 lobster bisque spilled when taking it out of the bag. The container they used to store the bisque was a paper cup that the lid slid right off. The server Andres was excellent though.

The waiters n bar staff on rooftop were perfect. Food just at happy hrs was spectacular. My mistake was eating rooftop during a rainy evening, humidity was 100 %. Will dine again inside.

This place is a jewel in Jacksonville. We felt like we were in Dallas or Chicago with the ambiance and service. The Chilean sea bass and filet were delicious. Only complaint is the per glass wine price. $23 per glass seemed too high even with the $100 steak prices. Love this place though.

I LOVE Very good services

First time here and we really wanted to love the food and heard great things but we really don't understand all the hype this restaurant gets. Hostess (blonde girl) was extremely rude and flustered when the restaurant had very little customers, I would hate to see her when it was actually busy. Food wasn't bad but everything seems to be cooked with a lot of rosemary which I found to be overwhelming. Not very different from Ruth Chris besides very few menu items but for the price, it wasn't worth it.
