We go there a lot. It seems like it is hit and miss on the food. I hate cold food. At this one you can count on getting something cold. My pancakes were cold. Keep saying we aren’t going back but we give it one more chance and that is slowly coming to an end.
The service was not impressive. The food arrived cold and lacked flavor, falling short of the warm, comforting Southern cooking we expected. Although the atmosphere has been updated, the restaurant no longer has that cozy, “coming home” feeling it once did. Oh and the greasy floors are a lawsuit waiting to happen.

My husband and I visited for brunch. The pancakes were delicious. My husband raved over the fried chicken. It was the best he'd ever had from a restaurant. Our server was great and the lady who checked us out was very sweet.
Too cold! I get it, it's hot outside, but let's turn the a/c down so i could enjoy my food while it's still hot. Smh..

Appreciate having a spot with family style cooking. Wait staff is always friendly. The new style for the dining room is nice and bright. And personally I don't care if they rebrand with a new logo, just leave the chicken and dumplings alone.
