Great place to eat. Food comparable to the country food I grew up eating.
I had a stressful on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I ran the errand that caused said drive. And there it was a Cracker Barrel a place where I knew I'd be able to unwind a little bit and enjoy my dinner. The meatloaf was moist, the carrots and green beans satisfied me. The server she was very nice. It was an average chain dining experience.

Stopped here to overnight night with our RV on our way from NC to FL. Had dinner. Started out rocky. My partner ordered the Fried chicken and I just ordered a house salad. After about 15 mins, the server came back to say there was an issue with the Fried Chicken and it would be another twenty minute wait. She asked if we wanted to change the order or continue to wait. Since we weren't going anywhere we said we'd wait. 10 minutes later the manager came over and offered a my partner a complimentary salad while we waited. The chicken arrived shortly after we finished the salads and it looked amazing. It was very good as were the house salads.
We ordered 2 coffees to go for the morning. The manager ended up comping both salads and the coffee. Nice to so see such great customer service.

I have gluten allergy and so ordered carrots, turnips, 2 eggs and grits. I eat grits all the time and have no problem as they are corn, right? Well, at CB that's not right as they have wheat in them too. It made me ill ... I told the waitress I needed gluten free and she never mentioned that the grits had gluten in them nor offered me a menu showing gluten free items. Products containing gluten, especially those that typically don't have gluten should be notated on the menu.
We planned to go there after our flight landed and enjoy a nice meal. Came to visit our daughter and her 5 month old. When leaving found a cute little book for our grandchild.
