First visit since the reno. Nice diner vibe. Great breakfast. We'll be back, because the rest of the menu looked good, too (as did the food delivered to tables around us).

First time here, started with the smoked fish dip and the " deviled eggs " won't spoil the surprise on these..... They were awesome! Fish dip ehhhh, way to much capers and dill and very salty. I had the salmon entree, delicious! Hubby had a double hamburger and fries. I know I know, hamburger? When he took his first bite, Lol I thought his eyes were going to fall out of his head and the fries? Let's say, not your average fry. Service was out standing! We will be making it our go to spot for sure .

This newly remodeled and renamed restaurant has quickly become my go-to place especially on the weekends. It's walking distance for me which makes it a no-brainer. Classic diner food with some upscale options thrown in perfect for the Riverside location. Two of my favorite items lox and bagels, and the patty melt. Plus there's a burger that will knock your socks off. The back patio has totally been remodeled brighter, and larger, the perfect place to sit out on a nice day and partake in a few craft cocktails. Staff is great, friendly and informative. The new Derby House Diner has quickly become a locals favorite.

I was skeptical at first. But after sitting down and taking it all in...I do say it's a fine place to dine. Also, drinks for all the people; snobs, hippies, alcoholics, bros, lady types and even a sody-fountain for the tykes.

Was a very clean place with very friendly and helpful staff...that was the very first thing I noticed when I got inside. It was extremely busy when my son and I got there so we ended up sitting at the counter since there were no tables open...not really a problem...just keep in mind it is somewhat small with limited seating.
Was really excited about this place and wanted to love it, was recommended to us by a local foodie group. The service was excellent, our waitress was attentive and our food came out quickly. We had the fried pickles appetizer and those were extremely disappointing. Cut paper thin so they fried up into nothing and the breading on them was so thick and FULL of oil, they ended up just being oily bread chips. The Cajun ranch dip was good however. We both got the fish poboy, another disappointment. Fish was cooked well but the dish was majorly lacking in flavor, we ended up asking for more of the Cajun ranch and poured it on our sandwich just to try and enjoy it. Will give them another chance and get something else next time since the service was awesome and people say great things about this place.
