Dick's Wings & Grill -University

My son placed an online order requesting the wings to be cooked extra crispy. I picked up the order & arrived at my destination within ten minutes. When we opened up the containers to eat our dinner, we found the wings were very soggy & barely cooked. I called & spoke to the manager, but he could care less. After my conversation with the worthless manager, I had to put the wings in our air fryer(thank God for our air fryer), to continue cooking them. I spent $49.40 on the order. NEVER go to this location, unless you enjoy soggy, barely cooked wings.

Hey don’t judge the outside.. large bar with lots of Tvs. Lots special. Now the wings are very good. I tried the honey hot. Good start Jacksonville.

The boneless wings with garlic parmesan where very disappointing. Rubbery & tasteless. Salad was good.

Advertised $5 burger tuesdays outside, so I went inside and got burgers and drinks. They were not 5 dollars, apparently the $5 burgers are not on the menu and you have to special order them. Waitress was patronizing when I asked about when I got check. Good burgers though.

8.39pm you are closed but have the bar seats full and people go outside to smoke to then go back inside….Yes they are finishing their drinks but at least change your opening hours on Google.

Way over priced, $8 fat tires are ridiculous. Food was delicious, but pricing is definitely high ~$40 for 2 beers and 10 wings.

I wanted to order take out but couldn't, the place was not busy and after standing at the counter for 10 minutes I left, a server did see me but didn't greet me or anything. I do not recommend this location

Usually have no complaints with this location. Even this visit my food was great. I paid $6 for a tasty smash burger and a nice helping of fries. What upset me was that all of a sudden, with no warning, a pint of beer was $8! I had two beers and that burger and my check was over $24. I was in shock, surely they charged me for talls by mistake, but the receipt clearly said pint @ $8.00. Where in the hell is a pint of domestic beer $8.00?! Guess I’ll be finding a new watering hole… price gouging = not cool.

The restaurant decided to forgo menus and only offer the scan code. We did not stay .

Horrible Experience.....I have gone here several times and never had an issue always tasty and Professional waitresses until today 2/13/22. I was accused of having more drinks than I actually drunk and I wasn't going for it. I don't need to steal anyone's 8.00 drink. Honey I am blessed over here. The manager when requested attempted to argue with me and never apologized. I will never go to this location ever again! P.S please tell your waitresses to lay off drugs fr!

This is an awesome neighborhood bar. Good food, full bar and great staff. Some of the best beer and liquor specials in town.

Spent $40 dollars on food had to wait 30 min just to receive waffle fries not fully cooked and all stuck together.fire the cook wasted money.not coming back.took food back to get a refund was told I can't and have to speak to manager.white girl didn't even asked to remake said she was texting the Manager.this place needs new management and employees and cooks from the looks of the reviews.will be back in the morning to speak with the manager and to speak cooperate

UPDATE January 2022: this location is now under new ownership. I’ve been there twice in the last 6 months or so, and each time both the food and service were great. My only complaint is that the sauces are a little inconsistent as far as the heat level goes. But overall it seems like this location has had a complete 180. I can happily say that my previous review from a few years ago no longer applies to this Dick’s. **OLD REVIEW: I think they have some of the best tasting wings in all of Jacksonville, but their customer service is absolutely horrible. The service has been so bad that we started only ordering to-go and wouldn’t dine-in anymore. They still managed to reach a new low… I ordered to-go a couple weeks ago and when I arrived 30 minutes later to pick it up (the quoted time) they couldn’t find my order. 15 minutes later they found my order, off to the side of the kitchen window and in normal baskets. Turns out whoever rang in the order accidentally placed it as an in-house order instead of to-go. So at this point the wings have been sitting out for (at least) 45 minutes, no longer fresh or hot. We asked for a discount because the wings were completely cold, but they said no! They wouldn’t give us any new/fresh items to correct their error, and they refused to comp or discount anything either. At this point I was tired, hungry, and just done… so we paid and went on our way. I had to throw my wings in the oven when I got home. And maybe I’m just needy, but all the celery was entirely like rubber and would bend all the way back without snapping - just soak your damn celery, it’s not that hard. Just a really disappointing location.

Food was absolutely amazing until there was hair in my food. Alerted the waitress of the issue she was very polite and advised the manager of the issue I was having and per manager Tiffany since he did eat 5 when I ordered a 20 piece that I would still need to pay. This restaurant will never see me again. the manager Tiffany has a horrible attitude and need to learn customer service.
