I’ve been here plenty of times and it’s always amazing service..but today was just the worst it was horrible service. The young ladies were only paying attention to the gentleman sitting at the bar flirting with them and not giving mind to customers especially my table. I had to interrupt my servers conversation so I can order something to go and get my check…I had been waiting for 15 minutes, and then I waited another 23 min for my 2 tacos to go and then I never got my check so I walked up to the bar and asked if I could pay and the girl could not find my ticket…then realized they put it under doordash and it had been paid for already so they had to re ring my order which took another 5 minutes from the talking and laughing. It’s ridiculous that service is just not as good as it used to be. Maybe don’t stick all the young girls at night add some adult lady’s that actually care about customer service and helping their tables.
The food was amazing the service just sucked.
Thank you

I have to say, this was some of the best Mexican food that i've ever had! Everything is made fresh, from the red salsa to the salsa verde! The waitress was polite and efficient. I had 1 chicken tamale, 2 carnitas tacos and 1 chorizo taco with a side of rice and beans...Sooooo tasty! 5/5 food 5/5 atmosphere 5/5 service. Check out the market next store as well for authentic latin american flavors!

The place wasn’t what I thought it was going to be. Honestly, just overhyped. The Tacos de Pastor were not the greatest, and the chicken needed more flavor. The asada was good though, I’ll give them that. Just not a great experience overall.

Mid tacos tbh. All tacos are made with milagro tortillas. Steak was seasoned weird tasted more like cumin and lime. Chorizo had a strong chipotle flavor? Def not authentic Mexican chorizo. Carnitas were super salty. The good tacos were birria and barbacoa. The good taco search continues.

Jakeline and Camila were amazing and always serve with a smile. They always have delicious recommendations such as today as we ordered the oxtail and sancocho. See you again soon,

The only authentic Mexican restaurant I've had in Jacksonville. It's like for real hard-core Mexican. Try it. I had the pozole and it was so good. The tacos are legit, the asada plate was good, and the chips and salsa were good. I do wish the chips were warm but that's OK. The place was super clean. Will come back again. I would however, like just a tad bit more attention from the server. The service wasn't bad but maybe just be where we can see her in case we need something or have a question.

No.
If you're interested in a nice out for some Mexican food, El Castillo isn't it.
My tamale appetizer was obviously microwaved, it arrived much too quickly and was blazing hot in the center only. My chimichanga wasn't properly deep fried, either. Ultimately, that didn't matter because I'm fairly sure the meat had turned and was inedible.
Our server was nice enough but, never refilled our drinks and never cleared any dishes. Our table became a cluttered mess. There's no reason to return.
