Im giving 1 star because one the oxtales are chewy . When the smallest one is not tender u didn't cook ur food long enough. Rice and peas is bomb. Oxtales gave us food poisoning, head aches and sick . Went to hospital and was told food poisoning. Leaving this review for the owner and for my own records as well. Never been to a Jamaican restaurant where the people dont know how to cook ur food right. Either was not cook all way or they are being dirty in the back of the kitchen with contamination . Be careful

Tried the jerk chicken; didn't have quite the taste of the jerk seasoning, intended to return for the oxtail, but for the price didnt want to be disappointed.

Food it mid. And for the amount you’re paying for the lunch special and the amount you’re getting for that price might as well just go somewhere else cause it is small.

I have been eating at this restaurant for years. This used to be my go-to restaurant for good food. I recently bought the stew beef, and it wasn't gross. I mean, the meat didn't even look or taste like real beef. I called my order in but when I arrived I still had to wait for them to warm it up. The green beans were the only thing good, but the beef tasted like it came out of a can. I ate the green beans and tossed the rest of the plate; that's now nasty. Seven years of consistency, but this was the worst visit.

As a Jamaican I was highly disappointed! This was my first time trying this place. I had a beef patty, cocoa bread which was so stale and some of it was hard as a rock, and tasted like mold. After throwing away the cocoa bread alone with my beef patty, I tried the jerk mac and cheese! There was bone all through it, the noodles overcooked and disgusting! The food made me sick. Never again!

Food made my soul and my belly very happy. I got the small oxtail platter with yellow rice and plantains. It was out of this world with flavor. So delicious. The beef patties were so yummy and flavorful with a lovely flaky crust. I will be back!

Great Jamaican food, first time trying it and I will be back for more. The oxtail and the jerk chicken with rice were wonderful. And the rice is very flavorful. Beef patties sealed the deal!

The food is average at best, and no better than that of any other Jamaican restaurant I've ever been to. And it's overpriced for what you get. It seems like no care is being put into their product.

Been in Jax a month and this by far the best Jamaican food i had. I had to call them and tell how good it is. The only complaint i have is that I wish they added my sauce/gravy on it.
