So, so, so, so, so, so good all around. Especially the catfish and grits breakfast

I had the open faced turkey and it was quite delicious. Staff was extremely nice, add some great deals on some good food.

Every single thing was bad, and it took about 1.5 hours to get the food.

We were seated fairly quickly. But waited over an hour and a half for basic meals. When my meal came out it was wrong. They said it would take another 30 to 40 minutes to prepare the chicken fried chicken I had ordered. I asked for a ham and cheese sandwich. It came out 10 minutes later. It was grilled and hot. Only problem was that one side was perfectly toasted, but the other side was soggy and dripping oil.
The restaurant itself was dated. They still had the original carpet which was stained and smelled grossly as if it had never been cleaned since the doors opened for business. The carpet smelled so bad going into the hallway to the restrooms that it literally made me gage and I felt sick to my stomach. The chairs padding were old, faded, stained and ripped. As were the booth padding. Enough to make you not slide in fear of ripping your clothes or scratching your bare legs. The owners apparently have no passion or care for this business and it shows big time..The wait staff were great and very apologetic, noting that the owners do not care about what the place looks or smells like and were in agreement with many of the guests as they complained about the wait, smell, look and quality of food being served. I would not recommend this location and would not return. The most positive experience was the waitress, who kept coming and updating us on our food and kept our drinks filled. She was kind and worked hard despite the atmosphere she worked in.

Guess i ordered wrong thing, popeye scramble, 27 min later, itold waitress leaving in 2 min, i mean scrambles eggs with spinach and cheese ?, left still hungry, no one said why taking so long, medium busy, there were empty tables, no waiting line

Worst experience ever. 1.5 hour wait time and place wasn't that busy. The food was undesirable. The gravy on rice was cold. The beans were overcooked and mushy. A/C doesn't work well, so warm atmosphere and the carpets and seating haven't been cleaned or upgraded since the business opened. The owner seems like he just doesn't care.

Famous Amos only has two stores left The one on main Street is one of them. There used to be one in Mandarin where I'm from, but it closed up to turn into another marijuana dispensary. The employees bought the last two stores from the last owner. The more people that frequent the last two stores the likelihood that they will stay in business will be great. It's a long way from Mandarin but I still will go anytime I'm near the main Street famous Amos. It's old time comfort food. I like the hamburger steak. And the pot roasts they have beef and pork depending on what day.

1st off. (Dsclaimer)I am from Puerto Rico, and I am not use to thisntye of food.
Order county fried state with caballero, Fried Squash and más potatoes. Food was super delicious, 10/10, they even bought corn bread and a honey biscuit to starter off and they were amazing, I'm not use to biscuit tasting any good, so this was a surprise.
I read some of the other reviews about service and service was good, it is a little on the slower side, but watterss was super mega friendly. I can compare this service tothe one I relieve at PR, where the food is feshly made.
Will be back.
