This restaurant is very plain and old style. Cinder lot parking and old exterior. But you can smell the “smoke” and they have all kinds of specials printed on the door. Food was ready quickly. This Brisket Sandwich was absolutely the best I have ever had. Thick cut slices, minimal fat. Fall apart tender. Smoke ring excellent. Flavortown. Served on Texas toast. Good potato salad. Pulled pork is good, too.
This is a tiny gem that I lucked up finding. It is definitely a favorite with locals. I tried it after searching on Google. I ordered onion rings for an appetizer. My main meal was a salad topped with brisket. It was so large, I could only eat half! Then, I was surprised with a complimentary banana pudding. Menu has a lot of variety. I would go back for the shrimp tomorrow but they are not open on Sunday. Try it! It's really good!
We’ve ordered here for pick up because we live just a few miles down the road. All the food was great but my issue is more with the customer service. I was not impressed by the lack of hospitality by the woman at the front counter. I walked up to the counter and she didn’t even say hi but immediately just asked me in a stressed sounding tone if I was eating in or picking up. I gave her my first and last name and she abruptly gave me the total and then started complaining about...
