I don't usually give 5 ⭐️ reviews but this place was the most magical seafood restaurant experience. Such beautiful lighting & modern decor. Love the wall mural & hanging folliage. Just perfect for a date night! Hands down the best raw oysters we've had, we've had many, from the west to east coast. Cameron was very polite & accomodating, got us a table last minute minute on a busy, Friday night. Started with the salmon tar tar, juat savored it. Then I had the scallops & the bone broth sauce was exquisite, especially with the fingerling potatoes. Not to mention a proper sear on the scallops, was like cutting through butter. My hubby had the catch of the day, loved it! Got to hear from the hostess about how the seafood goes from sea to their cutting board in 72 hours! As well as hoe the owmers so such an amazing job. That's says a lot when your employees rave about it.

We celebrated an anniversary here. The staff was friendly and thoughtful. They told us happy anniversary a few times and even provided us with desserts to share. The food was yummy with generous portions. We ordered the crab cakes, stuffed rainbow trout, and salmon. The fruitquake mocktail tasted like juice, which I loved! Thank you for a wonderful dinner experience.

The food and drinks hit every time, the ambience is amazing, and the service is some of the best. Gemma is upscale, yet approachable. kam - my friend, your service and vibe is always the best. Sidra, you were suggestive, attentive, and professional, yet very down to earth and easygoing. For food, I highly recommend the any of their oysters. While they are known for oysters, everything and I mean everything, even down to the house made hot sauce, is amazing here. I’ll come again and again.

I had the experience of dining at this amazing seafood restaurant, and from start to finish, the experience was nothing short of outstanding. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between elegant and inviting charm that sets the tone the moment you walk in. The service was impeccable-attentive without being intrusive. Every detail was handled with care and the staff clearly take pride in creating a memorable experience.

We had a wonderful dinner on the rooftop. Maddie, our server, was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable about all the different dishes and oysters and her recommendations were flawless. I had the Wianno and Beach Plum oysters with the house made cocktail. The cocktail had the right amount of heat for the oysters. She also recommended the Scallop Entree and it was to die for! The scallops practically melted in your mouth. The potatoes were complimented by the arugula salad as well. Both my cocktail drinks were amazing too. I had the Golden Sting as my first drink and it had just the right amount of buzz. Tried the espresso martini as my nightcap and it was a delight. I will definitely be back here soon!!

Gemma is one of the few Jacksonville restaurants that measure up to an expected standard for the price point. The food is exceptional and the service was professional. It was reminiscent of dining in Paris where food and restaurants are serious. You should plan on spending above $100 per person to experience Gemma properly. Order good wine, a seafood tower, and beautiful entrees.

What a great place. We had the roof top setting and service was exceptional. We had the Trout, Fillet, Monkfish, Oysters-2 of each out of 7 with a bio of origin, then the keylime pie and bread pudding as deserts.
Food was excellent and our server was Maximus, what a professional. B-John and B-Mike down at the Oyster bar are always welcoming to sit at the bar and get the stories about the Oysters. Great atmosphere and exceptional cocktails. Don’t forget to buy the (fist-bump) for the crew as we did. Service well deserved.
For a casual or dress up night out in San Marco, this is a great place.
