Food okay, small portions of everything. Service was very slow, only two working the floor for lunch. Had only two rounds of meat order, very long wait between orders, left took too long. Prob will not return, def not like the Gen we were used to in Ca.

Food is unreasonable expensive and mediocre at best. The service is poor and most of the time non-existent. Weird problems that are made to be my problems. To be specific there was some kind of issue with staffing and there was apparently one server in the restaurant. The place was all but deserted and they told people coming in there would be a thirty minute wait.

Should have taken that as a que to leave, but wanted to give the place a chance. That was a mistake I will never make again.

The service was outstanding. There was only one server who did phenomenal at taking care of all the tables, on a Saturday night. He was on point. The food was good. Really enjoyed the kalbi.

FOOD IS ON POINT!!!! SERVICE FREAKIN SUCKS. It was not busy and my party of 4 waited and waited and waited for drinks, napkins, and refill on meats were forgotten about multiple times.

The food was good, and thats why they get 2 stars. The wait for refills or more food was the most atrocious part. Over 2 hrs we got one refill. While there we all realized that they hasld sat us, a party or 6, around a single grill, while a party of 3 was set up at a larger table much more suited for large groups. From our first interaction with our server it seemed like we were nothing more than an annoyance.

The good:
Food was delicious, plenty of items to order from the AYCE menu.

Server was fine. A bit dry on personality and enthusiasm, but he did his job and made sure we had everything we needed.

The bad:
Walked into the restaurant on a Saturday evening with no employee at the front to greet or seat us. Stood around with 3 other parties until someone finally showed up.

Wine order came out wrong. Asked for a white, got a red. However they did correct the mistake.

One of the runners who brought out our bbq meats was clueless on identifying some of them. A little education on the menu would help.

Men’s bathroom had a single urinal that was out of order. The only option was a toilet stall that was out of toilet paper.

Card reader for payment malfunctioned. Had to wait for the employee to get a different reader.

In summary:
I recognize that this is a very successful and popular chain in other parts of the country, but the standard of being a great KBBQ brand is not at this location. Please focus your energy on improving your level of service.

Pretty good definitely a place for celebrating something a little on the pricy side... especially for just 2 people... but food was really good servers was very novice and the place had a good atmosphere although it was a little cold. Will definitely go again though

My first time dining at Gen. Got there at approx. 6:30 on a Thursday evening. Only one other table had guests. Seemed to be only one waitress. The sides that came out first were good but super small little bowls. We asked for more but never got them. Our server was nice but painfully slow. And then at the end we left a little uneaten and were charged $5 extra for that. I can understand if we left a lot but we left very little and honestly they should have waived the extra $5. Just seems petty. Anyway, probably will not be back. Cooking your own food while fun in the beginning gets to be a chore and just not worth it.

Service was super bad when we went to try out this place. The lady who was assigned to serve us had an attitude for some reason. She made us wait and took her time with other customers. She was nice and pleasant to them but when she came to our table she had this disgusted face. And we didnt even say much except just tell her which items we wanted.

Not worth it. We just wasted our money. Food and service are way much better in Vagabond and Top Pot!
