Their menu both online and printed stated $22 for a platter. I ordered a shawarma platter with sweet potato fries and a soda, and was met with a $36 bill. When I asked the cashier said the platter was $27, the fries were an additional $4. I showed her the menu, but she said that's how it rang up and shrugged. Food was okay, nothing remarkable, bordering on bland.

Our firm used Gili's Kitchen for a corporate luncheon and they were amazing! The food was delicious, and their professionalism and punctuality were outstanding. Highly recommend to those who want to get away from hamburger or pizza, and try real food, marinated meat, rich veggies, delicious Middle Eastern spices and desserts, and the bread as delicious as the ones I tried in Israel.

Vegetarian options: They have an amazing veggie sandwich which comes with zucchini, eggplant, beets, peppers, sweet potatoes, and a sauce that only Middle Easter spices and combinations can result in that flavor.

Consistent delicious food. Cordial staff. Downtown with parking nearby if you get there 11:30. I wait for my son to walk over from his job. He is a loyal customer who told me about Gili’s.

Not Israeli! Will not make you feel at home! Go elsewhere!
Started off on the right foot, given that when I asked for extra shawarma, the cashier said it wasn't necessary because they really fill it up, but as soon as I received my shawarma pita without fries, I asked if I could buy a side of fries. I was immediately hit with a "no" and a "sorry I didn't tell you earlier" that you can only buy a side of fries with the meal, not after, even though I wasn't told that initially and expected the pita to come with fries like most Israeli restaurants. Then a pita FILLED with cabbage and one slice of shawarma. Because of this, I'm not filled with the singular pita filled with cabbage. I go to buy another one citing I wasn't filled and asking for a second order of the same this time with extra shawarma, I'm hit with a $25 shawarma pita. Not to mention, the second shawarma comes out with just as much cabbage! When I go to express this to the cashier, I immediately encounter hostility and continuous interruptions despite me asking her twice not to keep interrupting me, and she interrupted yet again when I resume talking. I couldn't even finish a thought without her breaking my thought. Horrible experience, made me feel terrible, did not make me feel at home like I intended in driving to this part of Jacksonville for an Israeli Shawarma. A total of $45 for a terrible experience with a side of two slices of shawarma.
