I wanted to break away from the norm and have something different and healthier and what I received was a dry chicken pita sandwich the chicken was so dry I could barely chew it more less digest it and it was supposed to have a Greek salad on it well that was near non existent! Sorry I was so disappointed especially for my first visit and when I complained about the sandwich I was met with rudeness. I work cleaning buildings so I'm not dressed up in a suit in tie but my money spends the same and to be talked to so rudely was horrible and I pray they are reading this😐😢🙄😒

For starters Gillis has exceptional service and all employees go above and beyond to make sure you have a wonderful dine in experience. The food is out of this world and some of the best i’ve had outside of NY. I have a few favorites here - The crispy chicken pita, the shawarmas- but last night I tried the NY style pastrami and it was OUTSTANDING! The best i’ve ever had. Gonna have to go back very soon for another!!!
Delicious glatt kosher food here!

This is our go-to place when traveling north from south Florida or back home. Many times we haven’t had hot food for 1-2 days and their delicious food is an oasis in a dessert. The service is phenomenal. Highly recommend for fellow kosher nomads.

Allow me please to tell you about this hidden gem of a restaurant in downtown Jacksonville. We've been wanting to visit for the longest and finally had the chance. There were so many options on the menu, but we had already made up our minds to try their sandwiches. Wife had roast beef and I had the Philly. She had sweet potatoes fries and I had regular fries. We even tried some Israeli juices and a malt. Non alcoholic. Since they had bottled Coke and I know most of them come from Mexico I ordered one for its unique flavor.
The food came surprisingly fast and freshly made to order. Flavors did not disappoint.
This place is an all Kosher restaurant and that's a plus for us as we stick to a mostly kosher diet and eat in accordance to it.
Best Jewish restaurant i have ever been to in the 10 different states I've visited so far.
I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone. They sure will see us more often. Can't wait to visit again.

the cook was very rude and almost prejudice I won't be eating there EVER AGAIN
I was based nearby Gili’s for a 6-month period for training and happily traveled the hour each way for a meal every Sunday. Gili’s has an incredibly warm atmosphere, delicious food, and loving staff. Finding such high-quality Kosher food in an area without many Jews was a blessing. Thank you Gili’s!
