I have been to this place three times and I have yet to get a donut. Today they told me they had problem with their Baker. I don't think I'm going to try again.
Stopped by to get donuts for our shop and found out they NO LONGER SELL DONUTS! Very disappointing. The cinnamon rolls and muffins were great, but the donuts were the primary reason for stopping by. I hope they reconsider this decision.

Upscale donuts, what's not to like?Cardamom Cinnamon Donuts are the bomb, they have fantastic teas and even donut sandwhiches! Not sure if it's a good or bad thing they aren't open later, cause I would definitely eat more if they wereš
Edit: Originally 5 star review. The owners sold to another company who removed everything that made Good Dough great. This is now Bad Dough trying to ride the coat tails of a good name. Its a dam shame.

They didnāt have any doughnuts :(
Crusty eyed. 7:15 am. I drag my barely reanimated corpse to the Good Dough. Order donut. Coffee. To go.
Waiting for coffee, I take a bite of donut. It was churro donut. It was so good that I could feel the trajectory of my day changing. Outside crunchy, inside basically custard. I had to actively suppress a grunt of pleasure that would have surely made it weird. And I don't want to make it weird, because I want to come back here. Forever.
They are amazing at what they do.
Edit. And it's over. From my previous review you can tell I was really in love with this place. But I've seen it steadily decline ever since. The service declined. The selection of donuts has become worse. And there are simply fewer donuts to choose from. Their food menu was completely removed. At one point I was served a donut that was raw in the middle and I had to return it. Staff seems dejected.
Today I decided I'd give them one more shot after several rounds of disappointment and noticing the frequency of negative reviews corroborating that the place had declined. Today's visit sealed it.
I walk in and there are simply no donuts. No donuts at the donut shop. I asked if they had donuts and they said no. Only coffee today. So that's it. I guess my scale will thank me.
It seems that management at one point was responding to the negative reviews but no longer even bothers. I've seen the place basically empty in the last few months. I don't know what this means for the future of their business, but I can't imagine it's good. I'd say it would be sad to see them close. But the truth is they're already gone.

I love Good Dough. Went after a workout class on Sat at 11:45 and the door was locked and the store was dark. I was very confused because the hours on the door still say 2pm. I see they changed their hours online but I still think locked at 11:45 on a Saturday is dissapointing. I would suggest the store to put a closed sign up to reduce any confusion.
Why do you come up for donuts when you dont carry them. Thanks for wasting my 15 minute break with your false advertising.
Just stopped by Good Dough and⦠no doughnuts today š
Not gonna lie ā Iām kinda relieved. They were always a little too greasy and stale for me.
BUT the pastries and cinnamon rolls? Absolute upgrade. So good. š„āØ
I hope this is the new normal tbh.

This was our favorite donut place and a Saturday Sunday tradition for a while but the past few months it has went downhill. The staff just doesnāt care anymore and is poorly trained and unfriendly which is a direct reflection of poor management/ownership. The quality of the doughnuts have went drastically downhill. Gas station doughnuts are sadly better than anything Iāve gotten from good dough in months. They never have doughnuts anymore (and no im not gonna preorder doughnuts days in advance. I liked walking in a shop by myself house and buying fresh good doughnuts not leftover old stale poorly made doughnuts no one wanted). Until a few months ago this place was amazing and i brought touring bands from around the world in to show them the best of duval but this is no longer it and you have embarrassed me on 4 different occasions and I canāt keep making excuses for a poorly run business. I guess new owners have run this place into the ground? Thats what im hearing? Its not clean like it used to be. I doubt it will last much longer so Im just writing this review to say I miss Good Dough and the staff they had til a few months ago. That place was awesome. This place should be called Lame Dough. Its lame now and not even the ghost of the shell of what it once was. Its sad but nothing good lasts here in jax. For the former owners and staff thank you for being amazing. New owners. I donāt want your excuses and ill make sure no one I know steps foot in that place again. Ive given this place multiple chances to redeem themselves but I guess this is where we part ways. I can find a new place to take my guests and business associates that wont make me look bad like yall have been doing
First off and farther most I went to good dough today and saw 3 employees working there butts off that's unacceptable to so I walk over to the counter and ask the barista I think his name was Ted,Robert or Andrew he told me it's been rough and everything is going down hill
From people Quiting and the owners won't hire no one else
Like I been rocking with good dough ever since it open but now it's been terrible
But I will say this I see that young man through the window with dishes putting them up so I'm guessing he's a dish washer he deserves a raise and that short gyal with with glasses I feel like she be busting her butt making glazes and putting out dough nuts and more I feel like they should be getting payed 16 dollars a hour All 4 of them or 14 depending on the owner
In different restaurants dishwashers get paid 14- 16
Baristas get paid 15 a hours
Decorators/bakers get paid 16 dollars a hour
It's just just not fair to me that a company so big would be paying there employees 13 a hour I wish I can do something about it
All that I'm saying a company has to show there employees that they care and a lil boost in pay is Not that hard weather it's 14 or 16 showing that you care about your employers should be on top of there list
What I have seen it's Not right
Y'all should Not treat y'all employees like this at all because they matter too they be busting there butts at the establishment also I'm not just talking about the 4 employees I talked about in the beginning paragraph
I'm talking about All employees that work for good dough
Hope they close this place down because a lil birdie told me
It's already going down hill
The owners Never be at there own establishment
Don't have No sandwich cook
No Anything thing
And someone told me it was supposed to be a grab and go where it's at
I want GOOD DOUGH TO KNOW
Just close down
Y'all need to just close down and redo things and open back up that's all
I would like a doughnut place that has a table cloths not a bear table
I want a doughnut place that has 9 employees that way
No doesn't feel like there over worked or that they are obligated to do there job and someone elses job
When you hire someone you hire them for the job that they have to do
You Do Not wait to later when they get hired to change there positions
For example say you hire someone as a decorator and a dishwasher
You don't have a right to tell they to do something else or they have to do something else

Jessica and Kierra were amazing we werenāt sure which donut we wanted and they explained them all , they were very patient and helped us guide our order. I feel like theyāre so many doughnut places but the service here is what stands out. I would come back just based on the customer service we received !
Used to love this place. My wife and I even had friends drive up brown butters for our wedding a few years back. We make a yearly trip to Jax and good dough is always one of our first stops. This time was definitely different though: assuming new management based on other recent reviews. We pre-ordered donuts through their website for pick up the day before, but when we arrived, they claimed they were āsold outā of half the ones we ordered and conveniently ādidnāt makeā the other ones that dayā¦. whatās the point of preordering ahead of time if they donāt even box the pre orders first thing in the morning. Could 100% tell they messed up but were just trying to make excuses to cover their backs. Didnāt even offer to comp any doughnuts but rather said we could substitute in from what was left over (there were only 3 generic types left at that timeā¦). Love their doughnuts but customer service has definitely taken a big hit. Very sad
I would like to start off with I use a lot of donut shops for partnership programs with our realty offices. Such as.
Cinottis bakery and parlor donuts.
I stopped in and gave the dough a chance so I would be using a local business for the customers in San Marco one that they are familiar with .
Wonāt you start off? They only had four flavors of donuts that looked as plain as something you would get from Winn-Dixie or Publix do yourself a favor go to Winn-Dixie or Publix before you waste your money at Good Dough
$40 a dozen should be more than just a Winn-Dixie looking doughnut
I just think you need to justify what you are charging for your product.
Donāt be trying to sell a Winn-Dixie type doughnut for over four dollars apiece if they are just the average run of the mill donut.
This is just my opinion. Iām sure other people have their own, but that is why they have Google reviews.
Terrible customer service! We own a small business. Welcome your customers. Point to where the drink is that they bought so they don't have to ask or forget. Answer questions. Speak up and explain. Its very simple. Especially when your customers are polite and even tip!
No matter how great your food is customer service is what will never bring us back to this place! Two ladies at the front and both had same attitude. Is the excuse that you are closing in 40 mins? Not when you are in a customer facing role. Moreover, we were the only ones in there and our first visit.
Looks like the customer who left as we were walking in, a man with 3 kids who had a lot going on, he left his drink by the register, they both didn't even notice.
This place is so cute and the customer service was incredible! The baristas were so sweet, knowledgeable and helpful!! š Paige, Katie and Kierra, yall are the best!!šø
