Absolutely love this place in San Marco. The bartenders actually care about what they’re making and pour with skill. Strong drinks, cool crowd, and great music in the back room. The setup is perfect whether you want to chill up front or kick back in the speakeasy-style lounge. Clean, stylish, and always a good time. Easily one of the best bars in Jacksonville and a must if you’re in the area.

San Marco staple: they go all out at Christmas time.
Non-Christmas, they have a large variety of liquor, wine and canned beverages to purchase. The vibe here is party. It’s loud dance music. There are tables outside which is great people watching and a little quieter if you’re looking for that.

Hector tonight made it clear he did not want to be there or helping us. We left but generally really love being there and the vibe. Unfortunate.

We were looking for a neat spot to go after dinner and Grape and Grain was IT!!
We rolled right up to the bar and sat down. Jackson, our bartender needs to compete in a bartending show because I thought he had the best attitude, crafty cocktail mixtures, and SO much knowledge in general about every booze out there and how it’s made! The atmosphere is cool, there was a LIT DJ on the Tuesday night that we went. I was in heaven. AND it’s so rare but they have Radler on tap. Not even my friends in Romania ever see that. Super cool spot. If we come back to the area, this our new spot.

No food, we were sad when we heard that as we like food when we are out for happy hour w/our drinks. Location is beautiful & big selection of different bottles all along the wall for purchase.

I always have a good time, but tonight I did have to check another patron. I was in line for the restroom and this Hispanic(?) leprechaun of a man walks up and ask if I’m in the line. I reply yes and he begins to express how badly he needs to urinate. I inform him that there is another restroom in the back. To which this half a man replies, “ Oh it’s too ‘dark’ back there.” I instantly click the micro aggression. Mind you, in Saturdays hiphop and rnb is played in the back and Black people tend to congregate there because that’s the vibe. I ask, “Oh what do you mean?”, because I’m definitely going to challenge a micro aggression. He says, “Oh I’m just scared of the dark.”

Then my tone makes it very clear that I see what he’s trying to do. I tell him he can go pee in a bush outside then because im definitely going to be a while ON PURPOSE.

And this is nothing against the staff. I just want to inform others that your head must be on a swivel for the racist because they do visit here. And if you're a woman of color like myself please make sure you are protected, because if someone can behave like that to a stranger, your don’t know what they’re capable of. I had to get that out because that really upset me tonight.

Not much food, but I liked what I saw. They have a great bourbon scotch, and Irish whiskey list. Hector is very cool sat on the sofa is in the back and had some bourbon on gentleman‘s cube. The selection is wonderful. I love the atmosphere with the couches and it’s like sitting in the living room in the back. Very nice ambiance smoking outside. The icing on the cake was the jazz band.

This is a cool spot for an older sophisticated crowd. It has an excellent vibe with friendly people from all walks of life (young, old, black, white, gay, straight, etc.). The drinks were the best I've had in a while...a little too good (spent most of the next day promising to never drink again). Make sure to visit the speakeasy.
