I can confidently say Hwy 55 Burgers Shakes & Fries is one of the best fast-food spots around. The food is always fresh, the customer service is excellent, and the manager TODD is incredibly welcoming. Highly recommended! And if you visit, don’t leave without trying their hand-made fresh lemonade—it’s a must. 🍋😄

When they serve your cheesesteak with a fork you know it’s going to be good!!! Service was top notch, kind and courteous staff, which has been missing from the fast food industry as of late. I’m glad they chose Jacksonville for their first Florida location. Going back for the burger next.

The wife and I finally had a chance to try this amazing restaurant the food came out very fast and very fresh the fries and tots are hands down the best I have ever had the same goes for the Philly cheesesteak the wife loved the burger and strips the owner and staff are very approachable and respectful all in all I’m definitely coming back again and I hope they are here for a long time Also if you like Texas Roadhouse ranch this is better all day long!!

My family and I tried this restaurant and we honestly had no expectations. However, with us all getting our orders...We didn't like it. My fries were to salty and the cheesesteak sandwich I ordered had no seasoning. It was very bland. If lite or no seasoning works for you...Then this is your spot. If you like taste and seasoning to your food. Go elsewhere.

This place is bullshit! If you plan on going here you better not be in any type of hurry. Because the staff definitely isn't! I waited line for over 45 minutes and still didn't receive our food. It wasn't even worth the wait at that point.
The worst food possible would score zero if I could did not get anything like I ordered way too expensive taste like microwave food cheap frozen burger order everything on burger only received mustard ketchup and mayonnaise Burger was not even warm waited 15 minutes

This was my first time going to eat their food. As a born and raised floridan highway 55 is a restaurant that is not in florida so it was something ive never heard of before. The manager said this is the only location in florida right now. I ordered a burger and fries and took home a concrete. I had their special sauce on my fries. I think the highlight of my entire meal was the sauce and the burger. The sauce was tangy and comparing it to Italian dressing sauce does not do it justice. The burger patties were definitely bigger than steak and shake. The general manager even showed compassion to another customer and held open the door for them as they left the store. That shows even more kindness for the customers. I noticed they already have usuals who come back because he spoke to the customer by his name. I definitely will be comming back here and i highway 55 far exceeded my expectations and i went in there not knowing what to expect. Thank you all. Oh and i noticed they do fund rasiers for chruches in jax and you can scan a barcode and become a pic on their screen for everyone to see when they come in.

I almost didn’t try because of reviews but glad I did. The pimento cheeseburger is the best burger ever. The burgers you can tell are not pre frozen and the ranch and pimento are made in house. It was soo good and worth it. Will def be my go to place next time I’m in the area

I had the cheesesteak, which was pretty decent. The meat was over seasoned in my opinion, and took away from the overall flavor. The roll was very soft. The TATER TOTS were amazing! Probably the best fast food tots I’ve ever had. I might come back and check out their burgers, though I’m afraid it’ll be over seasoned as well. Give it a try.
Update: Came back for a burger and that was a mistake. I ordered it plain and it came out with everything on it. No big deal. I go back through the drive-thru and asked for it to be remade. Checked it and they literally just scrapped everything off! There was still mustard and pickle juice everywhere. I was a manager in the service industry. When something like that happens, you remake it fresh, end of story. I told the cashier I wanted my money back and she went to talk to the manager. He comes to the window to start the refund, but doesn’t say a single word to me. I had to ask him if he even understood what the issue was. That’s not the way a manager should act, and I hope he coached his kitchen staff on how to remake orders. What if I was allergic to something on the burger? I might come back in the future to give the burger another go, but I’m just not sure. I hope everyone else to tries their food has a better experience.
