The Whiting dinner was good.

This is one of the few really good food places in Jacksonville. Cant say enough good things.
The guy at the front desk is a little not customer friendly. He told me I had to pay for hot sauce because I ordered it on Uber eats which was odd. I’ve been in full business all my life. I’ve never heard of something like that. My order wasn’t even ready. I had to wait.
The food is amazing!!! The owner and staff is very friendly and make sure you're satisfied.

I went in after choir rehearsal and brought a 20 piece special of the wings. It's a new African American guy working the counter everything was fine I eat here all the time never had a problem unfortunately this guy obviously had a bad day I asked for hot sauce he handed me 1 pack so I asked can I get more than 1 pack of hot sauce for this 20 piece obviously there's more than 1 person eating a 20 piece. That fool said we're giving you a special what else you want. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR SURE!!!!! Atlantic location beware of the Hot sauce bandit. I did buy 2 more at 1.00. I never saw this guy in there before but the owner let him have his say.......
Food is good but service is mid. They don't give you any extra seasoning even if you ask for it but will gladly charge you three dollars for a tiny cup of it. Way too expensive for such a ridiculous surcharge.

They make everything to order, fresh. Cat fish is excellent, very light batter and they give you plenty of food. I've only done drive through but line moves pretty fast. Prices are reasonable. They also have fried chicken, which I have not tried.

Oh my! I got the fish, it was great. There is was much food that I took half of it home for the next day. Can't wait to go back.
When we visited Hook Fish and Chicken, we didn't know if it was dine-in, or take-out only. It turns out they had plenty of tables inside, that were relatively clean. The food and the service was excellent, and the portions were HUGE! Everything was very reasonably priced. I got two good sized catfish fillets, 8 shrimp, and a bunch of fried zuchinni for $11.00. It was well seasoned, hot, fresh, and delicious. I will be including this restaurant in my rotation of favorite places to eat. Try it, but don't be surprised if you burn your mouth.
Great price for some fried take out! Idk why but seems the later it gets the better the food is haha
