I'm a frequent flyer with Open Table as I eat out at least 2x a week and have tried various restaurants in town (120+ reservations in 2022 alone). But, as an Asian with vegan preference, this place is quite disappointing for 3 reasons: 1) any home Asian kitchen can make better stir fries than this place can 2) serving portions of the main dishes by Asian standard is small 3) price is not attractive to most especially non-vegans who would like to try this cuisine and vegan folks will have second thought to frequent this place because of cost The one & only service lady is very nice but, deficient service with low standard cuisine that is poorly priced doesn't make a positive combination. As an Asian, I'm saying all these because I want to see this restaurant succeed by making the appropriate changes. There is still time. Do your BEST!!!

Absolutely fabulous! Every single dish, from the appetizers through the dessert, was special. The ice cream was the best we've ever had = espresso chip made from lentils!! Cannot wait to come back!

Annie was so friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed our lunch today. First time visiting but definitely not our last. The food was so flavorful and filling. Loved the vegan options and the cocktails!

My husband and I live out of state and were in Jacksonville for an event and we came across Hakka Kitchen while exploring food options for the week. We're vegetarians so we were really excited about the menu. We went one evening with a friend, and everything was so wonderful! I got the Baozi and Popo's Dumplings, my husband got Zhi Bo's Fried Noodles, and our friend got the Family Style Rice Bowl. We all sampled what the others ordered and enjoyed all of it! Everything tasted so fresh. The ingredients were high quality and cooked & prepared perfectly. We got the peanut pancakes for dessert which were delicious, and had some tea as well. Aside from the food, the atmosphere was nice and Wen was so delightful! Restaurant owners and chefs are of course always glad to have customers, but you can tell she has a generous spirit and puts her whole heart and soul into this restaurant. You can see by the menu that very conscious choices are made about where each ingredient comes from. It's a restaurant I felt really good about patronizing, and I wish we could've gone back to try more from the menu. If we ever find ourselves in Jax again, we will definitely be back. Thank you Wen for the wonderful experience! You really created something special.

Fine dining taken to the next level, in my opinion this is the very best that money can buy. Not only is this fine dining, it's a Zen Experience that sets new standards for the conscious minded looking for the very best that Jacksonville has to offer.Blending traditional tastes and cooking techniques with the newest vegan and health conscious innovations as well as fresh organic ingredients that highlight freshness and quality. The menu prices are very good considering the level of quality, not just in the organic ingredients but also in the methods of preparatio for house-made sauces, tofu, fermented soy milk- all organic and made fresh...It's amazing to talk to the staff and hear about their passion for the finest ingredients, taste and nutrition, they are very knowledgeable and friendly. It's worth paying extra for me, knowing that I am not putting any unnecessary chemicals or pesticides in my body, or my family.By far my favorite restaurant in Jacksonville, the quality cannot be beaten, everything on the menu is worth eating!I recommend the Ginger Detox Smoothie to start...Or anything on the menu lol...Can't go wrong with the chef's special, it's constantly changing with new seasonal ingredients, recently tried tapioca flour breaded jackfruit that you could swear was chicken or pork, so crunchy and sweet. The fried noodles are to die for good, spicy or no spice, we've had both ways and will be back for more, very good sauce! The bon mi sandwich is amazing and vegan too... It's a favorite. Very classy and high quality for a sandwich. The Tofu is made fresh and the black tofu has more taste than any other tofu I have tried, you can eat it like steak, or the get portobello mushroom steaks that are really great too.The vegan food here is classy, tasty beyond words, fresh and clean, I feel great after eating here... Even when I indulge and eat a little more than I should. Food this clean leaves me feeling so good.Ps... They have vegan ice cream and peanut pancakes.Vegetarian options: Best Vegan food in Jacksonville. Full Vegan menu, drinks, appetizers, soups, salads, noodles, main courses, desserts and specials. Ice cream, smoothies, mousse, peanut pancakes and more.Dietary restrictions: Great place for vegans who are health conscious or anyone who is concerned about pesticides or other chemicals that damage health being in their food. Talk with the staff about dietary requirements, very friendly and knowledge.

Excellent restaurant especially for the vegan options. They do have options for non vegans as well! Everything was absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend!

One of the best meals I have had in a long time. Very friendly service, absolutely delicious food. Very hard to choose from an extensive menu - I had the crispy tofu, followed by the barbecue tofu in sourdough. I ate more than I normally would because it was so amazing

Missed the turn to the location twice, difficult to get to and difficult to backtrack to. An old drive through that has been converted. Nice story with each dish. Friday night we were one of two tables. Very overpriced for each entree. Add $12 to each dish for chicken and very small amount added. I was excited about trying this place but hard pass on returning. Popo's Dumplings (pollo, papa, Tofu) × 1 $19.00 Plus Organic chicken $4.00 GL Pacific Redwood Cabernet × 1 $10.00 Zeng's Crispy Tofu (Tofu Cruijiente frito) × 1 $15.00 Zhi Bo's Hakka Style Fried Noodles (Fideos fritos ) × 1 $30.00 Plus Organic chicken $12.00 Yang's Favorite Fried Rice (Arroz frito ) × 1 $26.00 Plus Organic chicken $12.00

Pretty place, pleasant background Chinese music. Extensive menu with courses well described. very attentive service, probably by owner. 3 other tables taken at lunch on Wednesday. Can order most dishes with chicken. I had dumplings: 2 potato and 3 tofu with dipping sauce. Certainly sufficient for lunch. I enjoyed them both but preferred the tofu. Also had organic iced black tea half and half. My friend had the signature tofu chili. Huge bowel. A bit spicy for me (I don't like anything spicy) but fine for him. We didn't notice the rice on the bottom so if we had mixed it in it wouldn't be too spicy even for me. Both dishes had nice presentations on nice china. A bit pricey. least expensive plate was $15. Wen tup to about $25. As we left we said we want to come back to taste some of the other dishes.

I'm conflicted. I want to give them 4 stars but I just can't. Vegan chilli: B, it's a decent chilli with a spice level of 2 on a 5 point scale. Too much tomoato sauce and not enough of those earthy spices like cumin and oregano. Wild mushroom rice: C, this was a clear miss for me. Lots of mushrooms, cashews and rice, but very, very bland. But, it's enough food to feed 2 women. I appreciate the concept of this place, but they need to revise the taste of their dishes.

One of my favorite meals in recent memory. We had the potato dumplings, potato pancakes, the noodles, and black tofu. I thought I didn’t like tofu, but this was delicious. I now understand not all tofu is created equal. Everything was so delicious, but the espresso vegan ice cream was remarkable. It’s hard to find really good plant based restaurant meals. This meal was memorable. I wish we had Hakka Kitchen near our home. Service was exceptional.

Stumbled across this place by accident and was pleasantly surprised by their menu. Range of vegan options. We had the vegan chili and the stir friend noodles and would recommend both.

Great authentic Hakka food. Many nice vegan options. Some of the best tofu I’ve ever had in my life. A very peaceful and friendly atmosphere. Definitely recommend!

Our server, Annie, made us feel so welcome and was perfectly attentive thoughout our meal. She facilitated having the amazing chef to be super accommodating with our request to be as no-oil as possible and everything was incredible. Flavors, textures and presentation are phenomenal. Even the tea presentation is gorgeous and delicious!
