After coming in to order I was told that the phone doesn't work or they don't take phone calls to order here. I was shocked but it doesn't stop me from ordering here. Portions are great wait times aren't long even on their busiest hours. Customer service is always great. Everything is always tasty. Order a medium Beefstew plate when I got home there was only three small pieces of beefstew meat and a garden of carrots, potatoes and bellpeppers I was so disappointed I usually there's more meat this the worst plate I ever had front this place I been coming here for over12 years I'm going to give them another try bu for today it's going in the trash I guess it's going to be a sandwich night.

Stopped in for lunch since I was close by. It was right at noon and shortly after I ordered, the line got long! The lady at the counter was helpful and patient. I ordered a large portion if brown stew chicken, rice & peas, and cabbage. Wow, big servings! I got two large chicken legs and a thigh, plus the two sides (they also have mac & cheese, and plain rice; other sides available as an upcharge). I did have to wait for about 15min for my to-go order to be ready, but for the flavor and the price ($14), I was ok with it. I sat and waited in their dining area, which was small but it seems that they have a second larger area for when it's crowded. Definitely clean and pleasant overall. I'll go back again because there were other options I'd like to check out.

After supporting this restaurant for years, today I have decided not to return and take my business elsewhere. The service today was appalling.1. cashier played with her nails for quite sometime before acknowledging that I was at the counter right in front of her2. I ordered oxtails which are delicious, but I live in GA so I always get more. 10 extra dollars for 4 pieces (could vary in size)3. My plate was packed by the initial order. After asking to be placed in a separate container they refused. It was so bad that another customer outright stated “that’s not going to fit, it will be bursting out of the plate”. I, myself, had to create a way.4. The entire time, the cashier was only concerned with her nails. Even after I expressed that I had been coming here for years and all I ask is for my 4 extra oxtails that I paid $10 for be placed in a separate container…I was just ignored so I left and will not be going back.

Place bad can't get order right. They are getting a little bit better. Long way to go. Use cash never credit card. They are getting better. They give more food than any other jamican food places in Jacksonville. Getting better.

Not real island food the owners are not Caribbean just profiting off the culture and trying to hire Caribbean cooks/workers to play the puppets. The food used to be good but not these days. I would try a REAL island spot if I was you. The female owner (the wife) is rude as h3ll. You never know who you are talking to in life so you should be kind to others miss girl. <3.Either way it seems this wanna be Caribbean place is going in a downward spiral so Goodluck.

For starters.... ??? Mac and cheese? Bomb! The rice with thr oxtail?! I'm convinced I didn't leave a good enough tip after coming here out of all seriousness. The food is good, the price for the portion is fair, they put love in their dishes, you can taste it. I can say with confidence that I will be coming back, and continue to come back and recommend more people to come check them out if I get on the topic with anyone that I come across and they mention "places to eat in Jacksonville Florida". This restaurant will be my very first recommendation because they're like that in all honesty!
