This is absolute perfection! This is heaven! I don't think many other restaurants in Jacksonville always have prime rib on the menu and so far J. Alexander by far has the best prime rib I've ever experienced. Besides the excellent prime rib the service is exceptional and I love the clean modern ambiance. The lighting is perfect, relaxing and romantic.

First time there and the food was great. I had the Cajun Trout over Rice Pilaf and coleslaw. Our waiter Zachary was the best. And yes, I'll be going back!

J. Alexander's is a solid, reliable restaurant that fits nicely into the upscale casual category. They offer decent food options, with a menu that provides classic American favorites, wood-fired steaks, and some fresh seafood. They also feature decent wine options that cover the major varietals.
The service is acceptable. The staff is generally polite and gets the job done without any major issues.

My main point of frustration is the reservation process. Since the restaurant can be busy at times, I wish they made it easier to get a reservation, like using a widely-used platform such as OpenTable. This would make planning a dinner here much smoother, especially during peak hours.

Overall great restaurant! Food is great and for cocktails, you almost get a second glass of your drink for the price of one. One of the two restaurants me and my friends can agree all together!

Beautiful restaurant. Outstanding food. Excellent service. This place is my new favorite Prime Rib go to. My wife had the Fish Tacos. She thought they were delicious and the presentation with thesides all complemented each other. Our server, Demetrius was attentive, informative and charming. Overall a most pleasant first time experience.

I’m never disappointed here. My husband absolutely loves their slow roasted prime rib and I love their cypress salad with cilantro dressing and carrot cake!

What a great find! We were in the area visiting and wanted a place to eat. Out of all of our choices this one was chosen because of the prime rib on the menu. We've never been to this particular establishment but we are so glad we tried it. Was able to make a reservation and when we came in we were promptly seated. It was busy so we are happy made a reservation earlier.
Molly our server was friendly, fun and engaging. She was knowledgeable of the specials and menu and was able to guide us. She was truly amazing and accommodating once she heard about my gluten intolerance she went above and beyond with making sure the kitchen knew and was able to make modifications to my order.
Our meal was truly so delicious and now J Alexander's will be on our list of repeat restaurants when we are in the area.
