The staff here are always so welcoming and sweet! Place is always clean and well kept, and prices for renting rooms are very fair. There's a lot of table game and tcg variety as well. Definitely a hangout spot I'd frequent more if I lived closer :)

Great environment. Okay selection of games but lots of table space to play.

Decent place to hang out if you have friends to go with (no one ever uses the LFG sign, so don't bother hoping to join strangers since they're also going there with their friend group). Not worth buying from though. They charge $50 for Azul, a game with an MSRP of $30. Laughable.

The library is good, but the copies are all worn and falling apart. At least staple your rulebooks back together.

The standing wargaming room also gets hot and stuffy, they need a fan back there or something.

Are you a nerd? Do you like Magic The Gathering, D&D, Pathfinder or other TTRPGs? Do want a place where you can mingle with your fellow nerds and play the above mentioned games plus other? Do you want a place where you can enjoy something to eat and drink while you game? Java Game Haus has you covered for all you nerd needs. Rule books, games, figures, all the stuff you need in one place.

Normally I don't do reviews, but I will say that Java Game Haus has been an absolute awesome blast of a place to go hang out at. My first impression had me think of the place as a miniature board game theme park. It's not just a shop where sweaty peeps can play TCG, it's a place that actually caters to all the tabletop gamers for all ages and backgrounds. There is a real local community at Java Game Haus that you don't see too much of in this digital age and struggling economy. The food and drink are fantastic and affordable too. I think it's the perfect place to trap and introduce your normie friends to board games while you guys eat. Whatever business formula Java Game Haus is using, all I can say is that it's working. Great job, guys!

Great party.

Save your time and especially money and shop elsewhere. If you want to over charge for items at least have the employees smile while doing it.

Incredible game shop. They do it all here. Cafe with refreshments, plenty of seating for large group gaming sessions, and a separate event center for leagues and tournaments.

I went here when I was visiting Jacksonville with my partner and genuinely had a great experience. I would highly recommend. When I'm back down in Jacksonville, I'll definitely be making another stop by!

It's truly an amazing shop and I love that board game cafes are a fairly popular thing down here! I'm from Michigan and had never been to one before since it's not common up here where I'm at, let alone of this high tier, big space and great atmosphere.

Java Game Haus Cafe has very kind, friendly and welcoming staff both in the shop and in the cafe area as well, and I truly had a great experience.

At only $3 to play in the game room, it's a steal. They have a great selection and there were a lot of games that I've been wanting to play for a while that they have in their library.

We also got food from their cafe which was two delicious flatbreads and two appetizers plus some drinks. I appreciate they sell a variety of alcohol as well and all in all, this place is a total gem that I'm super glad exists. Wish I lived closer!

First time here: Everyone that works there acts like they hate their life, no smile or anything and dismissive language, and that type of stuff starts at the too of business like this, not the bottom. Short girl with glasses was rude and dismissive when asked a question. Brown haired girl at the food counter rushed us. But, we just smiled and nodded nicely anyway. We walked in, ordered food and drinks, tipped, and sat down to play, and then long hair glasses guy rudely and smugly says “Why don’t you guys pay your table fees instead of just sitting down and playing your game.” I asked where to pay that and he sighed and said “either register” like it was this great errand that he had to say two words to us. How the hell are we supposed to know, they didn’t tell us when we checked out our food or when we walked in? Then he proceeds to go flirt with his girlfriend or whatever for the ENTIRE time we were there, they even went outside for like 20 minutes to stare at each other, while every other employee was hustling and getting their job done. Idk if he was a manager or employee, but it was extremely unprofessional. The vibe was cool otherwise, great game selection and chill people attending the venue, but the employees were just not handling customer service very well. It felt like we were imposing on them every time we had to talk to them. I’m not some karen that needs to feel important when I walk in somewhere, but I do need to feel like I am minimally welcome in the establishment. It just made us feel like we were burdens. Sorry for bothering you all with our business, I guess.
