Nothing to complain about here. Food tasted like the cook liked his job and well worth the price. Service is quick and friendly. Will take the Madre here sometime soon.

We have been going to Johnny Angels for several years. It is a typical diner with a fun 50s themed menu. We have always enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service. Not sure what has changed. Since July, the food has been barely edible. It arrives in waves (we are never served at the same time and there is always one or two items missing). Servers are still great -feel more like friends. Sad to say, we will not be going back. It was one meal too many that we couldn't eat. We have tried sending it back, but it does not come out better. After 3 times, it is not even worth it. We will miss our friends but just cannot continue to pay for bad food we don't eat. Maybe someone there will notice and improve the kitchen and getting the food to the table.
Johnny Angel's Diner is cool spot to enjoy retro scenery and vibes. I really enjoyed the burgers.

My daughter and I were out for a girls day and decided to try Johnny Angels. Great experience. Walked in and the decor was all 50s. That wS nice but I judge a place on quality of food. They hit the mark on all accounts! Daughter got turkey clun that was 5 or 6 inches high with the tastiest meats. I got a chicken wrap that was heavenly...and they sealed the wrap on the grill so none of food fell out. Delicious Best after the yummy food was the staff, so friendly, attentive and welcoming We will be back!

Stopped in as part of a short weekend out-of-town getaway. What a gem of an establishment! A total gem! I would come back to Jax just to eat here! Everyone is super sweet! Felt loke we went back to the 1950's. They did a super job recreating a wonderful age!

Fried bacon! I never thought I would think anything negative about bacon. I love crispy crispy bacon. I HATED the deep fried bacon.

I visited Johnny Angel’s Diner in Jacksonville and really liked the fun retro vibe with its 50’s style décor. The staff was friendly, and the service felt quick and easy. My meal was tasty, the portions were just right, and the overall atmosphere made it a comfortable spot to enjoy a casual bite.

If you want to feel like you’ve stepped straight into the 1950s while still in 2025 Jacksonville, this is the spot to visit. The restaurant is packed with retro memorabilia, and the waitresses bring the nostalgic vibe to life right down to serving classic root beer floats. The food is just as impressive: I tried the Captain Crunch French toast topped with strawberries, bananas, whipped cream, and graham cracker crumbles absolutely delicious. A fun, unique experience all around!
