Koushinryou - Curry and Sando

They’ve stopped adding an entire chicken cutlet to their Katsu Chicken Curry and instead top it with a measly two chicken strips. It no longer matches the picture and reeks of shrinkflation.

I want to give this place a higher rating, but my experience was only so-so. They did not have any Sandos available on their menu! It looks like they used to at some point, but it appears discontinued now. The menu was also digital QR code only, no physical menu.

The other food was alright, but there was a large eggshell in my chicken katsu bowl. Portions were large and there was a good amount of protein. The mayonnaise tasted kinda strange, and had a strange oily aftertaste.

There is nothing bad to say about this place. The food is absolutely delicious, the people are so kind! And the service is so fast. It’s one of my boyfriend and I’s absolute favorite places to eat at. Any special occasion I’m always asking to come here. My heart would be absolutely broken if it were to close.

Great hidden gem here in Jax. Authentic Japanese curry and sandos (as the name implied). Owner/manager is super sweet, ambiance of the place is so fun, and the food was amazing. Def recommend checking it out

100/10! This place has it all! Amazing atmosphere: amazing artwork, 90s Japanese rnb playlist, anime figures. BEST of all, the FOOD! Authentic, rich flavors from small plates to main dishes and desserts. Absolutely amazing experience. Came here for the first time last week, I’ve been back 4 additional times already.

Decent little cafe! It's hard to come by places like this in the states, so I was excited to come across it during my work travels!

I got the katsu curry, which was pretty tasty and a decent sized portion for the price. My only criticisms, I do prefer a shorter grain rice with my curry and I suspect the katsu is pre-made and then put in a convection oven; which isn't a horrible thing, but it does lose its juiciness than if it were fried to order. I loved that the curry was nice and chunky and relatively thick. It's hard to come by curry places that give nice chunky portions of beef and vegetables!

Sadly I wasn't able to try any of the dessert sando, since they weren't prepared yet, but taiyaki ice cream is always a nice treat.

Overall I'd definitely come back here if I'm in the area again!

Excellent service. I walked in ordered and out within 15 minutes while they were very busy.

The staff was very kind and even gave me a water while I waited on the food.

The food was fantastic. I ordered a katsu sandwich and a karaage sandwich. They were flavorful and did not soak thru the bread.

I definitely recommend this place.
