Feels like being in Japan, food is incredible, and Japanese folks in the kitchen.

I have had a couple different experiences at this location first time around I had just a dessert and it was great. But the second time around I had a salad and it just left something to be desired. Service is great so it makes up for it.

Had a great time eating katsudon with my family. The curry and katsu chicken is so good it makes me emotional. The service was so wonderful, she made us feel so comfortable and relaxed. Just a very warm inviting place with warm and kind staff. A memorable, comforting bowl of food and happy, relaxing experience.

Place is small but I like that all are booths for more privacy, Hubby ordered Ni-Tori Raisu which consists of 2 pieces of chicken Katsu with rice, while I got the Japanese Katsu curry which is a combination of chicken Katsu and beef curry. Both our meals were very good, but I prefer my order since I get to taste 2 different types of their meat plus it’s also cheaper. The beef was tender and I enjoyed the curry sauce that covered the rice, so yummy. Tried also the Tanjiro Sando, it was just okay, I prefer the fried version with the cream filling. The Ube was my favorite, it was not overly sweet which we prefer. For dessert, the Fried Shokupan Pudding was interesting but will not order again,Overall, we had a great dinner. Service was fast and food was delicious!

Thank you Koushinryou team for helping to bring great Japanese food to Jax. I recommend this place to everyone! Everything I have tried here has been so excellent, and the service is consistently friendly. The tables and general aesthetic are so cool too. Happy you are here

Koushinryou is another to eat gem in Jacksonville. It's owned by my favorite Ramen place, so I already knew the food was going to be amazing. The restaurant is small and intimate. I originally came in with the hopes of trying the side by side curry, but they no longer do this plating. As an alternate, I tried the Japanese Katsu Curry which was very nice. The beef was so tender and the Katsu has a nice crisp to it. For desert, I got the strawberry and cream sando which was so decedent, but not overly sweet which was a plus for me. Overall very tasty.

My wife and I enjoyed our orders of Japanese Katsu Curry and Ni-Tori Raisu. Japanese Katsu Curry came with chunks of tender braised beef and crispy fried katsu chicken while the Ni-Tori came with two crispy fried katsu chicken. They were served in a bowl. Wish they had them served in a plate just like the previous food pics posted here. We also ordered the fried bread pudding and a tanjiro sando. The sando was ok a little messy.

Finally a place that reminds of Okinawa. It's not CoCos but I'm definitely happy this place is here. My friends brought it home and I was a little worried but they did not disappoint. I joined their VIP because I'll be back. Can't wait to have everything off the menu but so far the Koushinryou Katsu Curry was good. Wish they did spice levels but I'm not complaining.

You’ve GOT to try this food. It’s super flavorful and reminiscent of traditional Japanese cooking straight from the source. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. One of the waiters was a little awkward but the female hostess/waitress working when we went was attentive, welcoming, and super sweet <3. She made us feel very welcome and made sure we were taken care of.

The atmosphere was really nice and fun. The service was fast and the person that helped me was super nice. And the strawberry and cream sandwich was nothing short of heavenly. Will most definitely come back for more.

Finding decent Asian food in Jacksonville is tough, but once I saw this place on Yelp, I really wanted to try it. Shared the Gruyere Curry sando and the Japanese Katsu curry and was pleased overall. Actually, I really wanted a good egg salad sando, but this one was good although a tad bit dry because of overcooked chicken. Maybe more curry would have saved it. The beef curry was excellent, such a homey feel to it. Very similar to beef stew with a strong curry but mild flavor and chunky veggies. The katsu was also pretty dried out, but the curry helped quite a bit. Was expecting a lighter panko crust, but this was a little crunchier. Overall, I'd definitely come back for the curry. The waitress said they change the menu often, so maybe egg salad next time?
