Amazing every time. Top 3 favorite spot in Jax (coming from a lifelong resident). Family business with incredible quality and service. Just go.

Places is pretty nice decorated. People were ok she seems like i was annoying her but still was being nice lol. Food was pretty good I had a Tripleta just wished it had lettuce and tomatoes but the flavor was on point…fries too were nice and crispy…sweet plantain was good not dry….The juice was pretty good wish i had asked if they had a bigger size of cup but overall Was pretty good I’ll go back to try something else 😩😮‍💨

Service was great, food was a little pricey for the quality. Pastry selection was scarce🙁

Definitely worth coming here for authentic Cuban food! The Spicy G was one of the best sandwiches I've had, and the empanadas are delicious!

Just stopped in here for lunch and La Bodega is fantastic! Huge servings with a delicious cuban, and outstanding empanadas although the tostones may have been my favorite. Very friendly service and highly recommend.
Definitely ordered too much food.
Definitely will be back.
Definitely wish they were open on weekends.

A little bit of a gift rating the atmosphere 5 stars, but I didn’t want to bring down the rating. It is a typical bodega/bakery with great food! Pork was great as was the congri, fried yuca & platanos. No room for one of their incredible looking desserts. I got some of their frozen Cuban tamales to steam at home. They were the best I’ve ever had…and I’m Cuban, so I have had many!!

This is a great little spot that I was not aware of until Friday. The food was cooked fresh to order. The service was great!

I really enjoyed the fresh made empanada and bread. The meat on the cubano was very good. My only complaint is that there was way too much mayo on it. It made the whole thing greasy and made the bread mushy, as well as made it hard to taste the mustard or pickles. That being said, I'm pretty sure if I just said go light on the mayo, it might have been the best cubano I've had.

La Bodega Original brings the true taste of Cuba to Jacksonville. Their fresh, handmade empanadas are outstanding, and the daily specials are both creative and delicious. If you've had your first cafecito in Miami or Havana, this is the closest you'll get to that experience. Every dish is made with care, and the staff’s passion for Cuban food and culture shines through.

This is one OUTSTANDING hidden gem! The food is so delicious that I was left speechless as to how to describe it! The owner, Celly, is a beautiful person inside and out and her Bodega reflects that. I will most definitely be back as often as possible!
No matter where you are in JAX, I highly recommend driving here to try their coffee and have an incredible meal. They are open from 10-3 and are in a little strip mall just off Roosevelt Blvd.

If you’re looking for Puerto Rican/Cuban food, HIGHLY recommended La Bodega Original! The mofongo is the best ever!!! They also bake the bread in house! It has a cute patio in the back! The empanadas are sooo good! Everything is delicious! My fav plate is the trifongo with pork!
