Ok so I have been to Mexico many times, lived in CA and been to Texas many times.... Those place have good Mexican food...

If there was no star or half a star I would give it that....

This place is a joke! They put their melting cheap cheese on everything and call it a good dip... It is a heart attack waiting to happen. Sure chips are ok, and with alcohol... why not?! Their meat Idk frozen then thawed... It is an interesting place to eat in as the inside is kinda unique as the location is near the train tracks in a brick building. That is it though for appeal.

This place is not real Mexican food and is a joke. TACO BELL I hate to say is safer to eat in my opinion and better... That is so sad...

Again the bar aspect not the real food aspect...

Pig out on crap if you wanna eat here but you might as well get fast food for quality.

Please close this place down... and go to Anejo Cocina in san Marco instead or somewhere similar to real Mexican food.

Yikes.... Even the people who worked there laughed with me as I complained about it and was like is this a joke? The food is not authentic.

I’ve always ordered from St. John. Host and waiters are always very nice. I placed DoorDash order today and it came from this location. The app didn’t allow modifications. I called the restaurant as soon as it was sent to see if they would not add sauce to a burrito and the girl Jenni (may or may not be her name) stated it already left the restaurant.. spoke to the DoorDash driver and he mentioned he didn’t pick up when I called. Transparency and honesty goes a long way, but here we are.

This place was very quiet when I first got there. I would suggest some music 🎵! I sat at the bar. Service and food were good. I had a beef chimichanga and a margarita. By time I left, place was full and noisy! 😆

Sometimes the best dining experiences aren't about fancy presentations or trendy ingredients – they're about honest, delicious food served with care. La Nopalera delivers exactly that with their straightforward approach to Tex-Mex cuisine.

The menu focuses on classic dishes executed well rather than trying to reinvent the wheel, and that's precisely what makes this place special. Every bite reminds you why these traditional flavors have stood the test of time. The portions are generous and satisfying without being overwhelming.

What really sets La Nopalera apart is their buy-one-get-one margarita deal – it's not just a great value, it's what initially draws you in and keeps you coming back. Pair those drinks with their complimentary chips and salsa (always a good sign when a restaurant doesn't charge for this staple), and you've got the perfect start to any meal.

The service here deserves special mention. The staff is attentive and friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere that makes this an ideal spot for families. Kids will find plenty to enjoy on the menu, and parents will appreciate both the reasonable prices and the relaxed environment.

La Nopalera proves that sometimes the best restaurant experiences come from places that focus on doing the basics exceptionally well. It's the kind of reliable neighborhood spot that becomes part of your regular rotation – perfect for a casual weeknight dinner or when you want good food without any fuss.

Highly recommended for anyone seeking authentic Tex-Mex flavors, great value, and consistently good service.

Great Tacos! Usually good service but today I had the female bartender and it was just awkward. Weird.

This was my first time dining here. The 2 stars are for service only. The service was great & our waiter was very attentive. The food on the other hand, was terrible. The rice and beans were not good. I got street tacos and they had absolutely no flavor or seasoning to the meat at all. Sorry but this is not authentic mexican food. More than half the staff isn't even mexican lol. IYKYK
Finally, the margaritas have very little to no alcohol in them. We won't be back.

Great service and a cute place but *sour cream in the guacamole*... nuff said. Also warning, they cannot accommodate allergies as they use the same fryer for everything

I went there today and sat for nearly an hour watching other people eat. Even people who ordered for bigger tables after me. It wasn’t until I finally stood up to leave that they rushed over a takeout box to me. There are certainly better places to spend your time and money in San Marco.
