Simply put, some of the best brewed beer and selection in Jacksonville. From hazy to European lagers,..top tier.
Great atmosphere. Live music, lots of tables, and very friendly people made the experience worth it. Seems to be kid friendly in the outdoor area.
Great place
Great staff
The beer is really good and the cowboy smash burger was really good.
They don't have many options for food or drinks, the food is spicy and they don't put that on the menu
Glad you’re still with us. We love your brew.
TLDR Overall Scores:
Beer: 8.1/10
Venue: 8.4/10
Worth a visit? Absolutely, but can get busy and loud during peak times. Check hours before making a lunch trip, as they open at 3PM most weekdays.
My number of visits: 10+ (2023-2024)
The Beer: You’re going to find a style that you enjoy on tap. 20+ taps with IPAs, seasonals, Belgians, pub ales, lagers, sours, etc. Take advantage of their beer flights in order to get an idea of their distinctive style and flavors.
I’ve been here several times, and I’ve never had a bad beer. The staple is probably Hibbidy Dibbity (hazy IPA), and you can usually find it on tap. Do yourself a favor and look over the beer list carefully before ordering, though…as you may find some real gems hiding there. Don’t be afraid to take a chance. For example, I get burned out on Scottish Ales easily, and I never want a full pint of a Wee Heavy. I took a chance on theirs, and I was blown away.
The Venue: It’s a little tucked away in the corner of a shopping center just off of Route 1, but it’s worth the trip. Parking shouldn’t be an issue, but the lot is oddly designed, and every time I go there someone steps out from between some parked cars or blows through an unexpected stop. It’s Florida, so keep your head on a swivel.
That being said, over the last 18 months that I’ve been going here, the location has undergone significant improvements. They are constantly upgrading and improving, and you can tell that management/owners really want to create a welcoming space. I think that is where Legacy really shines – the owner/brewer (veteran owned and operated, btw) and manager are both clearly customer-focused, knowledgeable, and friendly.
The other detail of note is that they are heavily event-focused. There is always something going on, which may throw you off if you’re looking for a quiet spot for dinner and a pint. One corner is going to be the ‘loud locals’, plus they’re really family friendly, and so you may be entertained by a screaming toddler streaking through the room. Then there is the event space, which may have an open mic night. It can be sensory overload.
Family friendly? Yes, absolutely.
Pet friendly? Yes, absolutely. Open courtyard with lots of tables.
Cans / Crowlers? No cans, but you can take home crowlers of your favorites.
Brewery on site? Yes, and the brewer is engaged and friendly. The freshest beer only has to travel a few feet. Some nice merch available, too.
Food availability? Burgers, flatbreads, etc. Vegetarian options. Quality is good and not overcomplicated.
Reservations? No, but they do private events with a nice connected event space.
Events: They do a ton of creative and fun events, with something going on pretty much every week. Check it out on their website.

This is my favorite brewery in South Jax. Amazing beer! Always brewing something different, keeping us regulars on our toes. Family friendly and relaxed atmosphere. You need to visit them.
We hosted our wedding party of 100 people here with the taproom buyout and it was absolutely PERFECT. The staff made the entire night so much better. Everyone was talking about how wonderful they were and on top of everything. They helped us set up the room, kept everyones drinks flowing all night and genuinely went above and beyond the whole night. Also, the space was perfect for 100 people + a live band and open space to dance by the "stage". If you are thinking about hosting a party here, DO IT. (I will upload pictures once we get them back from the photographer) THANK YOU LEGACY AND STAFF!!!
