Maharlika Karaoke Bar & Grill

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. Was looking for family friendly karaoke on a Sunday and stopped by this place. We had just eaten so didn't plan on getting food. They weren't having karaoke but the gentleman working gladly set it up just for us. Plus number 1. Then as we were winding up I decided to place a to go order. Man oh man was that plus numbers 2-1000. The food was impeccable. It's prepared fresh to order and the flavor is incredible. I got the Lumpianitas with chicken and the Sweet and Spicy Meatballs which come with rice and some veggies. It definitely did not disappoint. They definitely put themselves into their food and their service. If you are ever in the Jacksonville area it's a must go to spot. You will thank me later!!!!

Maharlika the service, communication has gone down significantly. Can't get them on the phone. We drive all the way from the other side of town only to find out you can't come in bec of parties. It has become a kitty club with no adult supervision. . Karaoke no fun anymore. They prioritize their personal friends and families regardless how long you have been waiting to be called to sing. They charged 8% on top of your bill if you are sitting in the table with other people that you don't know. We gave it a try a few times. But tonight did it. Wish them luck.

Pancit was bland. It tasted like plain boiled noodles without any seasoning. The dish was all noodles with little to no veggies and perhaps 1oz of chicken in the massive portion for $18. Not a bad price but also not really worth the calories. Meh at best. The restaurant was completely empty at 6ish on a Saturday night telling me I’m not the only person who probably will not come back here. The server however was amazing! He was very friendly and efficient with lots of information about the food and tea service.

We visited this place expecting a nice night life but All disappointment!
Everything on the menu are not available not even beer or liquor!
We also waited for our karaoke songs request waited for 2 hours for it but it never came so we just decided to leave!
This place is a Joke! Better Shut down!
Came all the way from 5 hours travel and sadly got disappointed!!!

Best sit in Filipino restaurant in Jacksonville

Generally, food at Maharlika is good & traditional. Just had some adobo & Shanghai lumpia to go recently and some things were amiss. First impression of adobo was sweet. This simple, nearly Pinoy national dish should be kept that way. Fat but sweet is not its flavor profile. It cuts the acidity & seemed to dominate the soy / garlic fusion. The ground pork filling on the Shanghai lumpia was barely noticeable. A salty wrapper is not what it’s about. What’s up with the sauce? Found it watery & lacking in sweetness & heat. Understand restaurant staffing. Pay for a better cook.

Had fish and chips in restaurant - very yum and great service. Recently just Had fish and chips and calamari for delivery at midnight and the food was fresh af. Impressive. Many places wouldn't be as good.

Wasn't super fast but it came within a reasonable amount of time. Enough to enjoy two beers.

I recently visited this place and it felt like I was in philippine . It’s a must-visit for anyone looking to dance, sing and hang out with friends. The bartender and DJ were super friendly and made the night even better.
Now, the food was delicious, but we had to wait a bit longer than expected (it’s mentioned on the menu, so we knew it was coming). If you’re only there for the food, be prepared to have a bit more time. I think it might have been a short staff issue & they are having a big party so they must have been very busy. when we finally got our food, it wasn’t even hot. It was a bit disappointing…

Overall, it was a great experience, but the food could’ve been better. I will try it again on weekdays.

This is the worst restaurant I've been in, Jacksonville, FL.

The following aspects of disappointment were as follows:

Service: Very poor quality. Our table was never waited, except only for us to order food and drinks. Food took approximately 45 mins to get, and a soft drink nearly took 30 mins. The place was not crowded. I needed to inform the waitress more than three times after 20 mins of waiting that we still wait for our drinks to be refilled and tables services needed to be cleaned. Highly recommend to have waitress walk the floor and cater to tables more often than hiding in the kitchen.

Bar: Bartender was very slow on getting drinks for everyone at the bar. I waited 15 mins to get 1 shot of choice, and again, the bar was not busy. Only about 6-8 people at the bar. Countertops remained dirty, and my overall impression for my first time being there was horrible. Highly recommend hiring another bartender or hiring someone who has experience in the profession.

Karoke: OMFG!!! Showing up 45 minutes late is very unprofessional! It was very difficult to understand what was being said. I am not sure what lineup she had people to sing, but I am positive she didn't know what she was doing to have a lineup for people to sing. Multiple people were singing many times before there was a chance to have others sing that were already in rotation. Highly recommend hiring another DJ who understands the job and someone who speaks clearly for people to understand.

Food Quality and Atmosphere: The food was great! People were friendly.

My overall impression for my first time being at this particular restaurant was horrible! I stand on business when it comes to having a great night, and this place didn't meet the expectations of a good night. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone! My main takeaway from this restaurant is to be better at EVERYTHING, except for the food, the food was great.
