The best bar I have been to in years, Caitlin, sommer, Gabby and Courtney are the best people I have met by far! Prices and pours are by far the best in town. The atmosphere is so welcoming and if I ever have a problem or feel uncomfortable with anyone in the bar the bartenders are quick to respond and help take care of the problem before it gets out of handDefinitely feel super comfortable and safe coming here alone or with friends.

We came out for Karaoke which was the best part of this establishment. The kj was very welcoming but as far as the BARMAID is concerned, was totally bad service ! My wife got overcharged and did not get what she had asked for. Paid $17.00 for a bottle beer and the messed up drink which was supposed to be rumchatta and fireball but had Jagger meister instead and when brought to her attention, she refused to replace it. There was a few very nice people but quite a few undesirable personalities as well. We definitely will not go back there again ! A very bad experience for most part. Would never recommend this establishment. Period!

The DJ was awesome but will never spend another penny in tht place again cause the service from the barmaid was extremely f...in rude cause when I went up to order 2 more drink at 1:05 she told me tht she was done but was serving multiple people afterwards knowing last call was not until 1:45 plus the drinks were overly priced... Will be taking my business else where...

Our second visit, because first time was great.Sadly it was not the case this time.We stopped in on the way back from our 35th anniversary celebration.My turn came up, I wanted to sing for my lady, dedicated it, but when song started there was barely any volume. I tried multiple times over the microphone, and waving my arms in a futile attempt to get the KJ's attention, I attempted to sing a few times but again asking over microphone for volume, everyone seemed to hear me but the KJ and whomever he was having such an intense conversation with.The KJ should pay attention when a singer comes up at least until they start,as song ended he realized it , and did apologize, but no offer to redo.We stayed and sat through another whole rotation, we were up next and had chosen our most requested duet.He announced that the person singing would be closing off the night.I went up and told him it was our 35th anniversary, and asked if he could please go one more song.He responded,No, sorry.We were disappointed especially since he had screwed up my last turn.We will think long and hard about coming back.If we don't we just wanted you to know why.End rant.

I literally googled “Karaoke nearest me” & called the 1st place (not here) & they suggested McBs.! So I took the 20 extra minutes driving too spend my bday singing karaoke somewhere……I’m so glad I did. I met 5 hilarious ladies. The pool table only cost $0.75 to play. Which I loved! Even if it is a quarter. There’s an app you can download to find your own music.!! I would recommend this place anytime.

Carrie went back a d added herself a 330 tip after hearing I was in a bad accident the night I was at the bar. I contacted Gabrielle and she admitted they found it. Instead of just putting it back on my card I was told I have to come in. They know I'm in critical care and can't come so I asked why do I have to come in are you giving me cash ? I needed to know because I was going to send my 80 yr old mother to collect it because they literally drained my bank acct and I am getting 15 over draft fees on autopaybills that are being rejected. I got blocked and told by Gabrielle that she has kids and it's my money so I need to go up there

Since coming under new ownership, McBees has become one of the more diverse and chill places in Jax. Still smokey but it's worth going of that doesn't bother you.
SCAM ALERT! The Bartender/s have a very real scam going on with some of the locals/regulars here. Towards the end of the night, they add drinks to your bill you never ordered and there's a couple they use the wife to start problems with you to try to get you to leave and not notice the double to triple what your bill should be. THIS IS A REAL SCAM--BE AWARE!!!!!!!

Karaoke every night, a great mix of Jacksonville bums and ugly women, but I must say, every time I leave McBee's I feel as if I had a good time. Whether it be the smiles of people missing half of their teeth, or the laughter/deathly coughing I hear from the patrons, it seems as if everybody is always having a good time. I have never eaten at McBee's, but I can't imagine it being any good. Drink service is pretty fast and prices aren't too bad. Bartenders are pretty nice, and I'm gay. Overall, while I wouldn't consider this bar nice or good at all, there is something special about McBee's.

Karaoke. Every. Night. You love it or hate it.Bartenders pour heavy and drinks are cheap. Vibes are old school. Smoking is allowed and there's four decent 7 ft pool tables that run on .75c in quarters. Change machine right there. Hole in the wall Jacksonville classic my dad went to in his 20s, & now I have too. Never fails to give a new experience.

For an establishment that offers karaoke 7 nights a week, the sound system stinks, and the KJ and audience were not at all interactive. For the $6 we paid for one soda and one bottle of water, the sound system could have been a lot better.
