Mesa Indian Restaurant in Jacksonville is one of my absolute favorite places to dine! Every visit feels like a special experience, especially with their creative and flavorful seasonal menus that always offer something new and exciting to try. The food is consistently delicious, beautifully presented, and full of authentic Indian flavors with a modern twist. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming—they truly make you feel like family. Whether it’s a casual dinner or a special night out, Mesa never disappoints. Highly recommend!
Fantastic restaurant with super patient and friendly staff. The food is super tasty and taste a bit more vibrant than a lot of other Indian places I’ve been to. The chicken wings are superduper crispy the shrimp and the chicken dishes were excellent as well. I only regret not trying more food.
It has been great. Food and service, all were right. I like it here and I recommend.
The paneer burrata was burnt and so hard it was inedible. Chicken curry was just ok. Texture of chicken was like gummy. The bread (malabar) was so greasy. The host, guy with long hair was great and service was nice. Beautiful ambiance but sadly the food isn’t for me.
I have been in Jacksonville for 12 years and was always looking for something that truly wowed me, and I can confidently say that Mesa has absolutely blown the food scene out of the water. We came for the second time last weekend for our anniversary, and were again astounded by the experience. The food is absolutely unbelievable, and the atmosphere is wonderful. We got the paneer burrata, leek flatbread (a real stand out), squid curry, and the chicken sandwich and were blown away by all of it. As we were celebrating, the staff also treated us to a complementary dessert which was the perfect way to end the meal. We always leave full but never feeling heavy. We had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners, Saji, and it was so easy to see the love and passion that is poured into this restaurant. I would recommend a reservation on the weekend but I did see some walk-ins being seating with very little wait. We'll definitely be back next month to check out the summer menu!
All across the board, one of the best restaurants in the city!
Mesa was the perfect choice for me and my girlfriend (whose birthday we were celebrating) as the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We both are vegetarians, so there was plenty of dishes from the menu to choose from, including some that didn't include dairy products.
Our first experience was in June 2025 while seated outside. From the seasonal menu, we had the vegetable ishtu and mushroom pulao; both were stellar!
We would definitely come back again and recommend it to anyone looking for an upscale experience. Much love to Saji and everyone working at Mesa!
Complete gem in Jacksonville. Great food, warm hospitality, and unique in style and place.
Where do I even start…
1000 out of 5 stars…
Every aspect of the dining experience - hostess, waitress, server assistants, and of course the owner. The owner that took the time to make her way around the restaurant to share a bit about herself and explain the menu.
Truly an experience I’m looking forward to again in the near future.
Items we got: Wings (the rice flour has an unbelievable crunch) Shrimp and Grits - amazing, seasoning on the shrimp was great. Chicken curry - they nailed it. & finished off with a mango lassi. Truly this place is a gem. Zero complaints and look forward to making more memories at Mesa.
Me and my family visited from northern Virginia. We came to Jacksonville for the first time ever. My wife had seen this restaurant on maps and said “We need to go!” We finally came here and my son said “It is the best restaurant we have ever eaten!” The wonderful owner came up to us and we had a talk about the history of this place and how her son also helped us. She also said her son helped her by talking with the chefs and helping them master the food. We had low expectations but after this visit, we think we need one more visit or maybe a couple of hundred!!
Vegetarian options: The vegetarian Indian food was very good and you can take my word because me and my wife are both vegetarians!
Parking: There is some parking but you can park to the street right next to it.
Kid-friendliness: They were really friendly to my son and daughter and talked to them.

The food at Mesa is a so amazingly delicious! The service is great and everyone is so friendly. The one downside is the price, it is insanely overpriced so be prepared to open up your wallet.

Recently went for a second visit after going when they had first opened. The ambiance, the service, the food, all of it amazing. The owner is wonderful and loves to chat with all the tables and explain the reasoning behind opening the restaurant. Definitely need to go more often.

We had high expectations after seeing the very high reviews, but unfortunately this restaurant is very overrated. The service and atmosphere were amazing but the food was not very good. The sweet potato samosas lacked any flavor and the lemon chicken wings were not that good either. The chicken curry was also a little bland, it was spicy but not flavorful. I have had way better Indian food at small hole in the wall places at half the price. They have everything right expect the food is mediocre at best, sorry wish it was better as we just moved to Jax and had hoped we had found a go to place for Indian food.
