We live in Ortega and I always see this place packed and I always wanted to try this since they are always packed!I was super excited to try this place and thankfully my friend made the reservation for us because they are so busy that you will probably wait for a long time if you do not have a reservation. of course there is a reason why they are busy, because MESA is a hidden treasure! My husband and I never had Indian food and when we got there we were already planning when are we going back there lol. Our table ordered almost the entire menu (jk) but to be honest I wanted to do it. we start with their Lamb Nachos and omg! we were all over it! it was so different and yet so flavorful and the they have homemade chip which was just a perfect combination! our friends ordered chicken wings and our server said that is definitely everyone's favorite and I couldnt agree wit her more. as for our dinner, my husband had Mesa Chicken Curry, that Curry just fills your mouth with happiness! i ordered the Salmon Molee and I just wanted to finish that whole thing, you can tell the ingredients they used is fresh and organic, our friend ordered the Vegetable ishtu and that was full of flavors too! I am so mad at myself that we waited this long to try this place and just me writing this review makes me want to go there tonight! You will not be disappointed here, the food, ambiance, the servers are amazing! the only downfall is their parking lol but you can park on the side street and they have valet parking. if you are looking for a great Indian restaurant there is no doubt to go to this place! I 10000% recommend this.

What made our evening so nice: The restaurant was clean and attractive. The owner came out to welcome us and share a few words. The food was fresh and beautifully prepared. Heaters were available and a welcome addition to the patio. What really made the night special, though, was our server. Kahlil was friendly, authentically cheerful, and attentive in just the right amount. He was knowledgeable about the dishes and answered many questions with calm patience as well as enthusiasm. We had a delightful experience; Kahlil was the main reason for that and what made us feel so good when we left.

I grew up in the Riverside/Avondale area (graduated from high school in 1976) when there were very few choices for quality dining experiences. That has drastically changed since then.To keep it brief, everything about Mesa was excellent. The valet greeted us and opened the door for us, the host was friendly and knowledgeable, our server, quite frankly, one of the best we ever remember having. The ambience is not special but inviting and comfortable, and the food was delicious. One member of our party asked the server about a drink called a Salted Lassi, which the server said was not on the drink list. After our small plates and just as the server began bringing out our main courses the owner/head chef brought out a Salted Lassi she made special for our table. She then described the different variations of the drink and it's origins. This is the type of service that makes dining special.I don't write online reviews, this is my first one. I think this restaurant is worth the effort.

Phenomenal! We made reservations to sit at the bar and ended up doing the tasting menu. Paula was a great guide through the menu and the chef even came out to greet us. The passion they have for their craft is evident in the food, service, and atmosphere. Couldn’t recommend it enough, excellent flavors with unique style. I wish I had a specific dish to recommend but everything we had was delicious, but the Rasam on a cold wet night really hit the spot.Parking: Complimentary valet

My family and I dined at Mesa on 2/20 and let's just say it was an incredible meal! I am floored by the restaurant owner, Saji (and her son) who was hospitable, came out to talk, and made us feel like we were family. Truffle pani puri is so unique, pav bhaji was just right, the avocado sauce in the chickpea burger was delicious (and the burger was so good), and the chai semifreddo was so so good! Loved this restaurant and will return every time I'm in Jacksonville.

The food here is exceptional and very different from what I'm used to but I'm glad I got to experience it. The service was top notch and our waiter, David, was attentive and very friendly.I took my girlfriend there for a late Valentine's dinner and although they were crazy busy, they got us seated before our reservation time. All of the staff were very professional. We never had an empty glass; all of the dishes were taken away as soon as the food was finished. We were checked on frequently to make sure that our dining experience exceeded our expectations. We will be returning here to experience another tasting very soon!

I went to Mesa restaurant on the suggestion of a colleague, and I am glad I did! The meal was started with several excellent small plates. The mesa wings were crispy and well seasoned with a tamarind ginger glaze. This was followed by delightfully crunchy fritters (sabudana vada) and succulent fried puri (a thin bread) stuffed with creme fraiche. The main course was a savory chicken curry over rice. For dessert, we were served a sweet coconut and lychee infused panna cotta, followed by a spiced plum cake. There are plenty of vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. This was one of the best Indian restaurants I have ever been to, and it is an excellent restaurant overall!
