Gosh it's been a long time since I've been here. I took them off my list years ago bc the food was not on par with the og in San Marco. An invitation to Sunday brunch brought me back. I'm glad it did! The food was fantastic. The staff were accommodating to the fact that the tables they pushed together for our group of 7 was not big enough for all the food we ordered. (Foodies gotta try it all). They moved the 3 kids to an empty booth nearby. The server assigned to that table was not very happy, we felt bad and said nvm. The host came right over and told us to move the kids to the table as she advised. 😅🫣 We thoroughly enjoyed the visit. They have redeemed themselves with food and great service.

I’m from out of town and stay in the Baymeadows area for 2 extended periods during the calendar year. Metro Diner Southside has been my go-to breakfast stop for the past 6 years. The staff is so much fun to deal with, and it’s flattering to know that they recognize me whenever I stop in. The usual fare for me is standard food (omelettes/fried egg, meat, hash browns, toast); however, today’s choice was the pork chop & eggs special. Thoughts? This needs to be placed on the regular menu. Wow! The pork chop was “over-the-top” delicious and was a perfect match with the other items on my plate (OE eggs/HBs/biscuit). I’m hoping (praying?) that this dish stays on the specials list through this weekend!
Special shoutouts to my 3 favorite servers (Rachel, Jacklyn, & Monica-all in a tie for 1st place) and to today’s greeter (whose name I can’t recall and apologize for that). All of them are friendly, efficient, and lots of fun to chat with.
Keep up the great work. See y’all over the weekend!

We just moved to the area a few days ago. We wanted some fish and chips. After looking at the 4.6 star review we thought we would give this place a try. We were so disappointed. The fish and fries tasted exactly the same. They were both soggy and cold. And the portion of fish we received was inexcusable for $15 a plate. We will not be returning.
