Are these traditional tacos? Definitely not. Are these delicious tacos? You bet your a*** My wife and I have been frequent customers since Murray's opened. I also came to the elite event here because I heard the man behind the meat, Mark, was going to be there and I wanted to give him props in person. The food here is phenomenal, and it's highlighted by the meats -- brisket, pork belly, shrimp, chicken....it's all excellent. My wife always has the hot chicken, brussels sprout, and pork belly (chorizo spiced -- off the hook) tacos; I like to mix it up more, but I always get one of the excellent brisket with egg tacos. For takeaway, I usually get the brisket in a rice bowl. (I'll also plug the great guacamole they turn out as well.) They always have a Congaree & Penn cider on draft, as well as 4-5 local draft beers (plus cans/bottles). I think they added drinks recently as well, but I haven't tried them. Maybe 1/4 of the time, the service can be really slow, but everyone is very friendly and we've gotten some free beers thrown our way for the inconvenience. I heard a rumor Murray's might be closing soon -- I hope it's not the case. This has been a super valuable addition to the neighborhood, and would be a major loss. It is hard to emphasize how much of a difference it makes to have someone who knows what they're doing handling a smoker. Regardless -- come visit Murray's soon!

average at best. Meat is lame and not flavorful. Tried three times and every time was nothing at all worth it. After three, no more.

Every single person that I have brought here tells me that their experience has been wonderful. These tacos are not traditions Mexican tacos but the flavors are amazing. I love tacos off their menu. The brisket and the Nashville hot chicken. The original Murray taco is okay so I would probably skip that one but the brussel sprouts taco is great too. I definitely recommend this taco place over every other one in Riverside, Avondale, and Murray Hill.

Pleasant staff, cool industrial inside, food was fresh and delicious. If you like spicy food I would definitely recommend the hot chicken taco. Street corn was delicious with pretty cooked corn with a good coating of parmesan and butter.

Good variety of options. Very flavorful. Mix & match to try lots of flavors. Nachos are HUGE! Friendly & helpful staff.

Updated review: Thought I'd give it a second try and MUCH BETTER!! Upon arrival, I noticed a Happy Hour menu on the door for M-F, 3-7pm. It seemed a bit empty, as opposed to my last attempt at trying the place. I was greeted with a bit more of a friendlier smile than the last time. I decided to dine in at the counter, since the place was empty. I figured there'd be less of a chance of leaving upset. Since it was happy hour, I ordered a white Sangria that was delicious. I had to redeem my last experience, so I ordered the three most popular tacos: the Latin Spice, the Make me Sing, and the Take it Easy. Those were the ones recommended the last time, and again this time. Per recommendation of one of the sweet girls behind the counter, I got my Take it Easy Taco's egg, over medium, rather than over easy. The tacos came out quite quickly and looked amazing. The manager on shift, Amy, came out and was very accommodating, as were all the others on shift. The first taco I tried was the Latin Spice. Pork belly with a kimchi type of topping and peanuts. Not particularly interesting to my taste buds. The next was the Make me Sing taco. I have to admit, that was so yummy, since I love spice. This isn't just like any spicy chicken tacos. It's like an interesting mix of flavors that kicks you in the face at the end! It was amazingly good! It even has a hint of sweet hidden in it! The last was the Take it Easy. This was the most visually creative. It has beef brisket smothered in cheese and and egg right on top. It was perfect that I got it over medium so that it had enough of the yolk run into my taco. Very good collabo of proteins. I was pleased. I am glad I gave this place another shot. The white Sangria is amazing..and overall the Make me Sing and Take it Easy are the best tacos. I plan to be back to try some of the other tacos and bowls available. They have some unique creations here and I'm intrigued by the creativity.

Our visit started with a great cashier/waiter named Scott who I may add was super cute. He was very friendly, extremely helpful and all around amazing as was the food. Can't wait to come back!

My husband and I visited Maple Street this morning, right next door to this place. I am pregnant and had thrown up into a plastic bag on the drive in. We parked around back, and my husband put the bag into what he assumed was the dumpster. The cook for Murray's Taco Bodega was outside cooking, and he proceeded to harass us that we had to go fish out the plastic bag and put it into the real dumpster. We had not realized our mistake, as we put it behind a tall white fence that

One of the best taco places in town! I love the atmosphere, which makes the fact that they have ample seating space for everyone even more impressive. Bring an appetite, because the tacos are absolutely delicious and ridiculously stuffed (so much so that they give you two tortilla shells with each one!). I just wish we had a place like this closer to the beach! If you haven't, take the time to check this place out if you love delicious Mexican food!

First time here tonight and the tacos I had were AMAZING! Shredded pork taco, fish taco, and the pork belly taco is NOT to be missed! Cilantro rice was also excellent! Will be back again for sure!

Good tacos. Funky comfortable atmosphere. Outdoor seating out back was too hot the day we were there but will be nice in the fall/winter or at night. Nice local beer and cider selection. They only serve beer and wine so avoid that thing they call a "margarita" and you should be fine. I'll be back for the tacos though.

Really neat place. Great atmosphere and good food. I happened upon it by chance and left full and well pleased. The staff was cordial and I happened to be there at the moment the health inspector dropped in. Nobody panicked and I have no doubt they passed with a great score. I will definitely be back the next time I am in the area.

Pretty much on par with all the new taco locations popping up. Not authentic, but decent I would say. Paid 29 for 4 tacos, 2 street corns, and 2 drinks. Tacos are on the smaller side. Flavors on 2 were pretty good. The other 2 didn't really have condiments that seemed to go well so they were a bit off putting. Street Corn was the best thing we ate, but it was pretty good. I got the pork belly taco which pretty much consists of a singular piece of pork belly and peanuts. The flavor was decent, but not much value for your money here.

Their brisket taco is delicious! And I love the queso. Cute little atmosphere, I like the space. Will definitely eat here again.
