The chicharrón guacamole is such a delicious appetizer! It was soooo good. It's a must have.

Birria nachos were tasty and were generous with their portion of meat. The house margarita wasn’t too sweet and not that strong (good by me!); a good deal for $6.

Service was slow (15min to take drink order, another 15 to come back and take food order) seemingly due to a large party in another room that arrived at the same time; the friendly and professional server/bartender did check in every fifteen minutes or so. Adequate, just not as attentive as I imagine he’d normally have been.

First visit. Very clean, greeted as we walked in. Went at lunch time and not very busy. Waitress explained menu and recommended dishes. Very good. We will be back.

This place is one of my favorite restaurants in Jacksonville! The prices are low and the quality is excellent. The servers are very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is authentic and is an awesome Friday night dinner place with festive decorations! The 3 plate combo is always a good option.

This was true mexican food.

Positives: The service was good, and the guacamole and house margarita were fantastic. Also reasonably priced.

Negatives: The hard corn shells used on the tacos, tostado, and chalupa were all very stale. The tamale was cold in the center and the pupusa was paper thin with almost zero filling. We tried a variety of the dinner offerings, but found nothing worth returning for.

Absolutely amazing! The food was excellent—especially the nachos (seriously, the best I’ve ever had). Monte provided top-notch service—friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Can’t wait to come back!

I enjoyed my meal here. The shrimp fried rice was good on its own without the sauce. And I really enjoyed my cocktails. I would recommend this place.

My new favorite Mexican restaurant I’ve been going to the same place for 35 years as it’s changed hands a few times and I tried this new place on Baymeadows Road and it’s wonderful. Great food and staff
