I went in excited to try a new bakery.

The employees seemed unhappy and entirely unwelcoming. The lady gave me the blankest stare and didn’t bother to return my greeting. She just asked, “ can I help you in a nasty tone?”. I tried to be polite still as I asked about other things they sell, and the woman gave me the most stilted answers. The man working barely acknowledged I was there despite me trying to talk to him and the lady was so abrupt with all of her responses that I could only wonder if I had offended them somehow, or if it was simply my existence at all that was the problem. They all but rushed me out the door, and made me feel very uncomfortable.

This was all a very unfortunate experience considering how many weeks I’ve been waiting, and the hour I drove, to try this bakery. I will say everything I got was absolutely top tier. While some of my donuts were broken, but they all tasted amazing. There was a nice crispy outside with soft fluffy cakey inside of the apple pie donuts and apple fritter. The donut holes were also super soft and glazed to perfection. Overall, the shop is adorable, the food amazing 100/10, the parking 9/10, the service could use some work, and as a word of caution be careful when visiting some are just not welcome.

This apple fritter from here is on another level. The outside has that perfect golden-brown crunch with a light glaze that gives just the right amount of sweetness without being overbearing. The inside is moist, soft, and packed with flavor—you can taste the cinnamon, the apple chunks, and that buttery dough blending together.

What makes it amazing is the balance: not too sweet, not too heavy, but indulgent enough to feel like a real treat. Every bite gives you a mix of crispy edges and tender apple-filled center. Easily one of the best fritters I’ve had, and I’d go back just for this alone.

I absolutely love the donuts and breakfast at Old Soul Donut Company! Everything is always fresh and delicious. One of my favorites is the bread with the hotdog in the middle—I keep forgetting the name, but it’s absolutely amazing! The bread is so soft, fresh, and flavorful, making it the perfect treat. If you’re looking for a great spot for coffee, breakfast, and unique baked goods, this is definitely the place to be!

We was on a cruise in January got to talking to a couple at dinner that told us about Old Soul . We stopped by on our way home . Know when we are in the area we stop. Love there apple fritter!!!! We always buy enough to take home if they make it to the house .

This is THE donut shop to visit in Jax. Classic, delicious, amazing.

We stopped here on an adventure to try as many donuts shops in Jax as possible during a one month trip. This easily rated top 2.

When we arrived there were no chocolate frosted and when you have a toddler who expects that and wants nothing else, well...you can imagine. The woman behind the counter graciously offered to make a chocolate frosted with the glazed donuts that were available. She made our day!!

We ended up getting a variety of donuts, an eclair, and an apple fritter which were all above average. I could eat these donuts daily. I will also add that the hash browns were so good, we went back inside for 2 more orders. I don't typically love hash browns, and these were amazing. Not greasy, salty and crispy on the outside but soft on the inside.

I will dream about one day being able to go back here. Yum!

This gem is a little off the beaten path and worth it! The doughnuts were fresh and satisfying! Nut allergy? This is your shop there are no nuts or byproducts in the building! Spectacular service which is somewhat rare these days.

Instantly the best donuts in Jax. A new weekly obsession. The Jax Cream donut is my new favorite. Samoa donut is Can't Miss. Highly recommended.
