Tried to go there for lunch today December 1st, 2023 and sat at the bar. We ordered food and one of us wanted some pizza sauce out inside the calzone along with a cold side of it which he has ordered this form here multiple times with no issues Today the kitchen manager was adamant he would not prepare it that way even though they have in the past. I now see why the restaurant was so empty because the customer service is awful!

It's mellow mushroom's side bar it's kinda loud and has plenty of the sportz ball on the TVs which they have a few of. Bartenders look out of practice and mediocre at best.
Vegetarian options: It's pizza plenty of options for you vegetable & cheese eaters.

Absolutely wonderful delicious homemade pies! Also such kind people. I called with specific dietary restrictions and they were so accommodating and even followed up to be sure all was well. My family and I loved our yummy fruit pies and will absolutely be back to try other things!

5 out of 5 been here twice, great pizza and staff, had Margherita pizza thin crust, wonderful! Had cheexy bread and Two other pizzas all are good

Somewhere along the way, this establishment started slipping..... As of recently it has been observed that orders aren't fulfilled properly,service is not up to par with offering an elevated "pie bar",& the floors are so awkwardly sticky,it's disturbing.I really hope you tighten up~

I’ve come to Carmine’s on several occasions while visiting Jacksonville. Every time I’ve ordered something different from the menu and each time it’s phenomenal. The Chicago style pizza is amazing and so is the nyc style crust. Literally cannot go wrong with anything here. And the service is excellent. Everyone is personable and friendly. Observing them interact with customers, it’s clear many patrons are regulars and on a first name basis with the staff.
While this is mainly a pizza place, we wanted a dinner with vegetables, so we split the Popeye dinner salad and the creamy chicken pesto dinner. Both were tasty and fresh, but the pasta was a bit mushy. Both plates were very generously sized, so I felt I was getting good value for the price. The atmosphere is kind of local roadhouse meets pizza joint with booths, which is a nice change from the forced vibe of chain restaurants. The service was friendly and timely, though not fast. I would go again if I was in the area and looking for pizza or reasonably priced Italian.

Our first time there was tonight. The pepperoni pizza 🍕 was so delicious. New York thin crust yum 😋. The servers were so nice and helpful when we had questions about the menu. We will definitely be going back to try some of their entrees.

Very cute restaurant. It’s artsy & eclectic, & offers many pizza options as well as other food (mostly Italian). The NY style pizza was very good & close to a NY pizza. The portions of food are huge & the prices are low to average. The staff were friendly. Not sure how we stumbled upon this spot but if I ever came through Jacksonville again, I would want to come back!
