Absolutely wonderful delicious homemade pies! Also such kind people. I called with specific dietary restrictions and they were so accommodating and even followed up to be sure all was well. My family and I loved our yummy fruit pies and will absolutely be back to try other things!
I’ve come to Carmine’s on several occasions while visiting Jacksonville. Every time I’ve ordered something different from the menu and each time it’s phenomenal. The Chicago style pizza is amazing and so is the nyc style crust. Literally cannot go wrong with anything here. And the service is excellent. Everyone is personable and friendly. Observing them interact with customers, it’s clear many patrons are regulars and on a first name basis with the staff.
While this is mainly a pizza place, we wanted a dinner with vegetables, so we split the Popeye dinner salad and the creamy chicken pesto dinner. Both were tasty and fresh, but the pasta was a bit mushy. Both plates were very generously sized, so I felt I was getting good value for the price. The atmosphere is kind of local roadhouse meets pizza joint with booths, which is a nice change from the forced vibe of chain restaurants. The service was friendly and timely, though not fast....
