After reading reviews, I assumed I would have to go off property to find decent breakfast. I was wrong - be sure to look for recent reviews. I noticed later that most of the one-star I'd read were from 3 years ago. The food this morning was great, reasonably priced, and the service (thank you, Franklin!) put it over the top!!! Two adults and two kids all enjoyed their meals.

Stayed at the Southbank Hotel Jacksonville Riverwalk, this is their on site breakfast buffet restaurant. A ok selection of foods, over priced for what was offered, typical buffet food, was warm not fresh or hot. But it was convenient. Better off going to a regular restaurant.

Excellent service provided by Kameron who was personable and engaging. I also want to thank the manager, Dillon, for going above and beyond to take care of my low-carb needs. Both Kameron and Dillon represent the best of Marriott standards.

I got the southern bowl and it was the grossest stuff I've ever had. $13 and the grits were flavorless and all it has was eggs and bacon on it which somehow they managed to cook bland bacon.

Dropped by Pier 1515 the morning of our checkout (from Southbank Hotel Jacksonville Riverside) for a good cup of coffee, and got to meet Franklin, the sweet gentleman running the front counter. His warm personality will get your day off to a great start!

Awesome breakfast!

Basic breakfast in a nice hotel. Tough to see the River from the restaurant -only one window has a view. COVID safe, spread out nicely. Coffee served in a to go styrofoam cup. Grits were thick and mildly warm. Good bacon.

Our 1st trip to see the Chiefs game on 9-7-19 thru 9-9-19. Our stay at the Lexington Hotel was a good one. However, our service at PIER 1515 restaurant was horrible. The food was cold, I waited 30 minutes for a coffee refill. The waitress was so unorganized I couldn’t tell if she was working or on break. We asked her for some things (cheese, butter, cream etc.) and Some of the food that was ordered was forgotten

The breakfast buffet was basic with scrambled eggs, dry sausage links, burnt bacon, overcooked potatoes, grits, crusty oatmeal, old fruit, expired yogurt, and a few toppings. The waitress we had didn’t even know they had an assortment of teas, just said “sweetened or unsweetened” and when asked about the types of tea she repeated the phrase “sweetened or unsweetened”. My husband got expired yogurt and once addressed with our waitress she said “Yeah” and walked off with the yogurt. Did not offer a new unexpired yogurt or to send over the manager to talk to us about it. Later we checked and they had removed the yogurt from the buffet. The buffet was $12.95 for garbage. I would and will never go here again for breakfast at the least.

Service was terrible. The server acted like we were a bother. Waited almost an hour for overcooked eggs and cold potatoes. Very disappointing.

The last weekend in September there were several large groups staying at the hotel. Breakfast was included in our rate. The Pier 1515 Buffet wasn't at all prepared for hungry military vets and their families. The buffet was consistently low on many items, there were 1.5 working toasters (which dwindled to one, then to none on the last day), and the staff was really stretched so table service for water and juice was mostly s l o w. The last morning we were there the remaining toaster died, so the server brought us toast from the kitchen. YAY. But we apparently got the last two slices of bread in the restaurant. We went in for lunch on Saturday and were told they were still recovering from breakfast and to go to the lobby bar to eat. Lobby bar sent us back to the restaurant, since they weren't serving. We WERE served in the restaurant but when others walked in they were turned away. Our server was very friendly, but overworked .. there was very little staff. And management seemed non-existent. The bad thing is there aren't a whole lot of restaurants near this hotel, so they have a somewhat captive audience.
