I wanted to write this review after my first sip, but I thought I would get at least half way through my drink before I gush. I ordered a double cortadito (dueces I think) and it was hands down THEEEEE BEST that I’ve had stateside. You know all those professional coffee descriptions that they give only for your drink to end up tasting like sad espresso and milk? This was not that. I could taste all of those fancy words. Beautiful roast, velvety texture, perfectly balanced, and just enough sweetness to enhance the flavor but not overpower the drink. It was so good I was looking through my contacts for someone to call, then I remembered I have no friends 😂🫠

I was just here at 11:45am on Monday September 8, 2025. Whoever made my cordatito should be given a raise. If all of your baristas are as wonderful as they are, well that’s just not fair. Send some of them down my way please, and I will be your loyal customer. I tried to call back to get their exact name but I’m sure they’re busy dealing with lunch rush.

I only come to Jacksonville once in a while to take my mom to her appointments at the Mayo Clinic (it’s about 2 miles from the campus), but I’ll definitely come give you my money every time. EVERY 👏🏾 SINGLE 👏🏾 TIME 👏🏾

UPDATE! I went back to get a cortadito for my dad and got the barista’s name—Emily!! He agreed, this coffee is AMAZING.

A word to management: Emily is INCREDIBLE. I heard her manage a customer’s expectations when they ordered a macchiato. She explained it without down talking Starbucks (super easy to to), which is a true gift 😂😂😂

Ordered an iced drink and they left the metal tie that goes on the ice bags inside of my drink. I found it when I got to the bottom of it. I went back in line and showed the lady in this photo the evidence and she admitted that yes, it is a tie from the ice bags and it was soaking in my drink the whole time until I finished it. She said sorry and I waited for her to make it right and she didn’t. I stared at her and blinked and just waited and she literally didn’t offer anything. She didn’t offer a refund on my drink, she didn’t offer a new drink, she didn’t offer a gift card. She just stared back at me and waited for me to order something else, AS IF I would after THAT experience. Anyways I felt this was surprisingly terrible customer service.

Staff helped me to order a Cuban Style Coffee _ DUCES . Great coffee, Smooth, Medium Flavor, just the right amount of sugar / cream ratio. Recimmend to All Coffee Lovers and I will Return .

I want to start off by saying I don’t like to give bad reviews. The customer service and the atmosphere was great! I ordered two birds nest egg bites, a latte for my boyfriend, and I ordered a latter for myself. My latte was good, I ordered the ELL and he got the J. stal. We wanted to give this place a try before church. My boyfriend ended up getting nauseous and feeling sick in his stomach after eating the egg bites and the coffee in the middle of church. He ate nothing prior this morning either. I’m not sure which caused it, but it was one of them. I had one of the egg bites as well, it was bland and lacked flavor, but I didn’t get sick. Maybe it was old I’m not sure, but I don’t think we’ll be back. I also noticed on the sign it said the birdsnest egg bite was $3.90 but I was charged $4.90. Maybe it’s a little more because I used my debit card, I’m not sure. I didn’t make a fuss about it because I looked at my receipt after I had left the business.

The lady behind the counter made the call for my order after I gave her a few likes of mine . Grand slam she was on the ball smart happy shr held a convo she was just wonderful. I hope 1 day she uses my business so I can try to offer her the same service . Great spot and I am picky with coffee spots

Aimee seriously makes the world a better place. She is so kind and makes the most AMAZING coffee. She puts the biggest smile on my face every time I walk in and truly has the sweetest soul! Sometimes I don’t know what kind of coffee I’m in the mood for and she’ll make her own little concoction and it’s 10/10 every single time. If you haven’t been to Pura Bean you are missing out on some of Jacksonville’s best coffee! I’ve also been using their coffee beans at home for my espresso machine for like 2 years now:)
