I live in St. Augustine and just happened to have lunch due to work nearby. One of the best authentic Mexican food restaurant I have been to in Jacksonville. Rivers few of the places I've been to in Mexico City.
Friendly staff. Menu is vast. Food = delicious. And the picture at the entrance of the restaurant (I won't post it) is why I will come back. Love the interior decor.
Must try if you are looking for a good authentic Mexican restaurant that caters to pescatarians, vegetarian, or anything you want.

If you want to wait for an hour for your food when the rest just had 2 tables and then tell the ‘manager’ to please pack it to go because you spend you entire lunch hour just waiting and then get actituted plus when you try the food isn't that good at all, this has the place.

The food and atmosphere were great. Home made corn tortillas and authentic Mexican food. Coming from AZ this is the best Mexican food we have found.

Do not sleep on this spot. Homemade tortillas for the win. Everything was so delicious. We tried the tacos, and gorditas. My daughter had the kids enchiladas. Wait staff was so friendly. We will be back!
I ordered 4 steak tacos and 1 birria taco with a side of rice and beans with a horchata drink. The steak tacos fell apart completely which was super annoying. The birria tacos were amazing and the horchata is amazing too. I would come back and try something else or get their birria taco again! Also the service was good.

Had such high hopes after tasting the Chips and Salsa. Primarily the Salsa. It was delicious. Lots of cilantro. The chips were only so-so. Like maybe out of a bag. It was Taco Tuesday. I ordered 3 tacos. Simple. After waiting over 20 minutes and being completely out of drink and salsa, I approached the counter to request my food be placed in a To-Go box. I was abruptly presented with my food. Finally. Two Ground beef tacos and one chicken. 25 minutes. Very bad first impression. Pretty sure the ground beef was just cooked and it had no flavor. It appeared to have some sort of veg in it. Maybe carrots or an orange bell pepper. Kind of a sweet flavor. Not at all something I expected from Ground beef. The chicken was better. Had some seasoning. I'm sure this would be a great place to watch a Soccer game because that was what every employee there was doing when I got there.
Needless to say, I won't be back.

I didn’t get a chance to order when I walked in. Everyone stared at me so badly to the point I had to leave I guess I don’t fit the demographics. I wanted to try the Birria tacos.

I went 9 months ago and it was bad but I went recently and its so much better the food wasnt missing anything , it was delicous , the chefs are amazing! We came early so there wasnt a wait, although this place is good one thing I have to say us if anyone dosn't like loud noises and it bothers them dont go friday or saturday after 7 or 8 cause there will be a DJ and there will be noise but if that dosnt bother you you should be able to go at any time.

Has an ok atmosphere but the staff knew very little English and took her extremely long to take out orders. Then none of the orders were correct. NO Free refills on anything. $7.50 for Tea and for 6 tacos and drinks and was almost $60.00 My husband and I ordered and ended up sharing my plate because the waitress didn't even put his in. Absolute disaster and I will never return or recommend anyone else to eat here.
