Place looks great Location is perfect , our waiter was great The food.... we order shrimp and lobster salad . Shrimp was really delicious the salad on the other hand was like they just slapped a frozen lobster on top of the salad zero flavor zero effort. I will definitely come back but not ordering that lobster salad again. Oh drinks were really good too

My boyfriend and I, came to enjoy dinner downstairs which was busy and no reservations were made. We were able to be seated without a problem. There seating was weird, I believe due to large gatherings, which made it tight knit to hear other people conversations. We didn't complain although it was uncomfortable. Cool. We ordered food, my boyfriend got the R&P burger and I wanted to try the seared scallops because that was one of the popular menu items. Food came out within 15 minutes, great! Why they have the Audacity to sit my plate in front of me with burnt scallops and walked off? how as a cook do you feel comfortable with sending some mess out like that? I politely sent it back and the waiter placed another order. My boyfriend food came out the same time as my scallops which his food appearance looked great. By the time he finished his food, my food still hadnt came out yet. Time went by, I told the waiter to cancel my order. He brought the check and apologized. #1 this whole meal should have been free. But whatever, no tip was left on PURPOSE! We left went to the rooftop. Beautiful scenery but crowded. We waited for seating for about 10 mins. I ordered a manifestation at the bar and by the time I got my drink we were able to sit at the fire pit area. I ordered the stuffed mushrooms which were delicious! The waiter was very nice! I ate and ordered the same drink. After time had passed, we left. I get home i see excess charges that was unauthorized on my credit card. A total of 5 separate charges. 🙄 i only authorized 2. The waiter for the rooftop charged my card before my food came out in which I thought was weird. But neither here nor there! What kind of fraud mess river and post running? Now I did read on the website that a 20% gratuity is charged if you leave without a signature. However the math doesn't make sense if I had 2 drinks and an appetizer. Upstairs in which that was 1 charge and then a charge downstairs. What happened? Did you keep an open tab on my card for others to enjoy or for your own workers pleasure? This is my 2nd visit, I came back because I enjoyed it the first time. However,I more than likely won't be back to this fraud scheming place! I want my money back!!!

Laziest, slowest bartender I’ve ever seen, I won’t be bringing any of my clients here for drinks.
I’ve probably already written a review about this place already because my husband and I love it so much. We went here on our first date over 3 yrs ago & we still go here almost every other weekend. The food is that good! We almost always sit at the bar, and Emmett and Lark have become our go-to bartenders… They know us well, they know what we want. And they cater to us. And that’s a good feeling. Gabrielle was tending to the restrooms tonight and she was phenomenal. Did her job well, with pride and she’s a beautiful girl… have yet to experience anything negative when it comes to the staff at River and post. They do a phenomenal job in the people they hire. And that’s a big part of the reason that we love this place!

Had dinner at River and Post and it completely lived up to the hype. The atmosphere is classy but still relaxed, and the rooftop view over the river is incredible. I ordered the filet and it was cooked perfectly with great flavor and tenderness. The sides and presentation matched the quality of the main dish. Service was friendly, attentive, and professional from start to finish. The rooftop bar after dinner made for the perfect way to end the night. Definitely one of the best dining experiences in Jacksonville and a spot I’ll keep coming back to.

First I want to say the food is good BUT do NOT go here is you are going with a bunch of friends!!!!!! They will not split the bill correctly. At each table they will split the bill 4 ways. NOT on what you eat!!!! We had a large party last night and we didn’t have a designated waitress. She was the bartender and our waitress. Fine, she can multi task….but she did a bad job. My husband didn’t get his food until we mentioned it to her. Oh and here is the best part… because it’s a large party, you are automatically charged a tip- for crappy service!
