Flavorful, fresh 🦀 always! 😋
The best in the city
It was ok the crab legs where small and not very meaty. The mussels where nice.
I brought 2 garlic crabs trays. Got them home and the crabs were BAD. They smelt like straight sewage. I took them back and the owner made it seem like it was my fault for buying BAD crabs and only wanted to refund $5. EAT HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

I’ve been eating crabs my whole life, from the Chesapeake to Florida, and Rod’s Crab Shack just set a new standard. These were absolutely unbelievable — perfectly steamed, seasoned to perfection, and packed with flavor in every bite. You can tell they know exactly what they’re doing back there. In addition to the Blue Crabs, the Snow Crabs and Shrimp platter was just as incredible.
On top of that, Rod and his team were incredibly welcoming and genuinely enhanced the entire experience. Great food hits different when it’s served by great people who care and that’s exactly what you get here.
Easily the best crabs I’ve ever had. Jacksonville’s got a gem here. I’ll be back. Often.
Perfection and Fresh to every bite……Period
Very nice and helpful and even got some ice for free for the bushel of oysters I bought by the tatted guy with the beard the oysters were good had a nice ratio sizes some were small but some were huge plus they were nice and salty overall I will be going there to get my oysters from now on

This is my favorite place to stop at when both arriving and leave Jax. The garlic crabs and shrimp is so delicious. The juice gallons are tasty. The customer service is always top tier for me.

Me and my sister went there.. ask for a dozen of crabs.. act like he was giving us extra we got outside counted them it wasn't even 12.. then we went back and he comes out and act like he's giving us an extra one. Bad experience
Recently visited trying to crab some lunch. Wanted some fried oysters guy looked in 2 refrigerators and said he didn’t have any. Didn’t even try to sell me anything else looked like he didn’t want to be there so I left and found lunch elsewhere.
