This place is a hidden gem. Excellent service and even better seafood. Great value too. Can’t beat the quality nor the prices.

First time trying this place and I would definitely return. The prices are great, especially the lunch special that comes with fries, hush puppies and cole slaw. They let me replace the fries with corn that was well-seasoned and tasty. The cole slaw was good, although the hush puppies were a little dense. The cod was delicious and flakey and the batter was very nice and crispy. The deviled crabs tasted as expected, and were quite filling. Owners were great. If you're driving through stop by its only a couple minutes out of the way and you support a great local business.

Great food for a reasonable price. Walked in for a to go order and was there maybe 10 minutes. Got the 1 lb crab boil and it and the shrimp were seasoned well. Clusters had a good bit of meat in them as well.

So good. Can be pricey. Plenty of room to eat inside. Staff is nice. Seafood sauces are garlic butter based and that is the best way to go. Definitely worth it. Shrimp is fantastic!!

If 6+ starts was a thing....If you love seafood like me and happen to be in JAX, this is your go to spot. Customer service and food were phenomenal.

First time at this restaurant: I was wanting crab legs (in a boil), so my husband agreed to split a combo boil with me, but I suggested we order some fried shrimp (just for my husband as that is one of his favorite dishes), I was looking at their appetizers when the man behind the counter pointed out that they had a fried shrimp lunch special for the same price, we would also get fries, slaw, plus our drink free... so I was sold, (by the way that suggestion alone would have me coming back!!). They brought the shrimp out the minute it was done - piping hot! It was SO GOOD! Best fried shrimp I've had in a while (yes, I had to steal some from my husband)! Then came the combo boil! Another win! We are so glad we decided to try this place! We will definitely be back.

The guys here are so nice!!! We ended up being the last people in the restaurant and they made our extra food we ordered even with it being late. This was our second time eating here and they made sure we had everything. The food is delicious and so yummy!! The restaurant has 6 TVs with games on at all times which we love that. If you really want some good seafood and a chilled place to eat come here. Thank you for the great service.

Very good and hot food! Lunch is very reasonably priced. Staff is awesome. Be sure to eat here. Weeeeellllllll worth the money!

We just looked for seafood near us, and this popped up. It hugely exceeded our expectations. Big portions, delicious house made seasoning, and excellent food.

I'm so happy I stopped in.. This place is SUPER CLEAN.. The wings are really good.. The chicken tenders seems more like frozen store bought tenders .. I would not recommend.. I haven't had any seafood but I plan on it soon.. The man at the cash register was super courteous and patient..More pricey than I thought it would be but oh well..

So I was gonna drive to juicy crab but I actually live right by rods seen it a million times and my daughter ate here with her bf so I said well I always wanted to try this place let me see what’s up I spent 52.00 and it was the worst seafood I have ever ate in my life I’m very upset I wanted to go back up there but I hate to be like that I hate to have to do that but I spent 52.00 I really wanted to call them I am weird about stuff like that so I didn’t I wish I did the food was soaked in oil flavorless oil no flavor it looks like it would have flavor but nope i am very upset with myself for not just bringing it back instead I threw it away and I’m starving tonight the guy inside was very nice he was great it was just the food I really wish I had liked it because I go to juicy crab a lot and that would have saved me a long drive but it didn’t work out very sad was expecting really good flavorful food and instead I got oil with no flavor I feel robbed!!!!!

This place was GREAT!! EVERYTHING!!. First time visiting and the staff ...awesome..food..... awesome.... vibe...Awesome. All safety precautions were followed and/or was in PLACE . DEFINITELY will stop here every time we come to JacksonvilleP.s. did I mention food....Awesome

I had lunch today at Rod’s Crab shack and it was delicious the restaurant was so clean and the music made me enjoy it more it was so relaxing just to get out and enjoy a good meal the food was seasoned and tasted great and nice customer service , if you haven’t been there yet you should go . Thanks you so much .
