My family and I went to the restaurant a long time ago and everything was fine! The food and drinks, because the service is not good. Yesterday we went to the restaurant and as always bad service and also the waitress mad, we ordered some drinks and was really bad! Pure water and sugar. The food was fine, we wanted to order some desserts but looked like they don’t have any or maybe they got mad because we said the juice was horrible. We ended with diarrhea and stomachache!

Stopped by for the 1st time for lunch. Food was great. Lomo Saltado, Churrasco&Chaufa, and Calamari(half eaten when I took the picture). Flavors were good. Churrasco was cooked to the right temp. Price point is a little high. ($85 for 2 people. No alcohol.)

We visited Sabor mix on a busy day, and even though the kitchen was clearly handling a full house, the service never slipped. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we were comfortable while we waited. She even offered drinks right away, which made the experience feel warm and welcoming from the start.
Their pisco sour is a must try. It’s perfectly balanced, smooth, and they even offer it frozen, which turned out to be incredibly refreshing. Easily one of the best pisco sours I’ve had in Jacksonville.
For food, we ordered ceviche, jalea mixta, and a chaufa with chijaukai. Everything came out flavorful and well-prepared. The ceviche was bright and fresh, the jalea had that perfect crispy texture without being greasy, and the chaufa with chijaukai was comforting and full of flavor. You can really taste the care in each dish.
Even on a busy day, Sabor mix delivered great food and thoughtful service. We left happy and full, and we’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic Peruvian food in Jacksonville.

Sabor Mix is hands down one of the best Peruvian restaurants I’ve visited in the United States. Let’s start with the hospitality: the moment you walk in, the servers greet you with the kind of smile that feels genuine, fresh, and full of warmth. The restaurant is tucked away in a plaza that’s a bit hidden, but once you find it, you know it’ll be easy to come back—because you will come back sooner than you think!
This is an excellent place to enjoy truly traditional flavors, from the well-loved ceviche all the way to the sweet glory of picarones with honey. I started with the Tostones Enchevizados with extra ají, and let me tell you—the first bite felt like that long-awaited kiss from a lover... but spicier. You can see the freshness of the ingredients the moment the plate arrives, and you taste it from beginning to end.
My waitress, Barbara, a very kind Venezuelan young woman, spoke with pride about working there and recommended the Tallarines Verdes with Lomo Saltado. At the moment of tryout , I knew there were angels cooking in that kitchen. Glorious doesn't even begin to describe it.
Then Lea, the bartender, suggested I try the Chicha Morada. I hesitated because I usually find it too sweet, but I ordered one to go. One sip, and I was instantly transported to my childhood, back to the days when my best friend’s mom ( they were from Lima) would prepare fresh chicha for us after school. Pure nostalgia in a cup.
Sabor Mix isn’t just a restaurant—it’s an experience full of flavor, heart, and soul. A hidden gem that deserves to be known, loved, and revisited again and again.
