Sam’s Southern Restaurant

I stopped at the Lane Ave location for lunch by chance and decided to take home dinner after eating there. The lunch specials are AMAZING.

The shrimp, livers, philly and fries were all raved over by the fam. Staff is super nice.

Only negative was the okra - the breading was overwhelming the poor veggie.

Overall, though, I'd go back - it's even worth going a little out of your way.

You do not know what you're missing if you haven't been to Sam's. A generous seafood lunch plate for less than $7? Are you serious? I stopped in for some shrimp while on my way through town, and I'll tell you, if we had a place like this back home, I'd be there every week.

I paid over $20 for a supposedly catfish dinner. The catfish was tough, dark and had a sour taste. I googled catfish with a sour taste and it stated that it's going bad and should not be eaten! I had already ate one terrible tasting piece then threw out the other. So the dinner was very expensive and I may possibly contract food poisoning. We'll see

Sam’s was amazing. Food was delicious. The staff were so friendly. We went in on a Monday night and they were very accommodating, even with our newborn baby. Food was reasonably priced as well!

First time having them and I might go back. I found the fish and chicken a bit too salty for my liking and the sauces didn’t seem to help. The strawberry lemonade was pretty good. I LOVED the fries tho haha. Seemed like the wings had been brined like the ones you get from Asian take out so the flavor was good just a tad salty. Oh and the sauces by themselves were good if anyone was wondering

Tina is amazing great service the fried flounder is amazing I've also tried the garlic shrimp and a few other things everything is amazing!
